By train to Grindelwald: walk approx 10 minutes from train station to the Chalet (moderate ascent). Or: take the local bus to the 'Hotel Bodmi' stop and descend approx. 5 minutes to the chalet. By car: public parking near Hotel Bodmi, 200m from Chalet. Having a car is no necessity in Grindelwald for there are railways and cable cars to almost everywhere, a local bus service and taxi cabs.

Skiing Information:

Grindelwald is in the centre of the main skiing region in the Bernese Oberland (often called the 'Jungfrau Region'). The chalet is situated in the ski basic training area (Ski-Schule) of Grindelwald with a small ski lift. This area offers night skiing on tuesday and Friday evenings. The major skiing areas are: Grindelwald-First: the station of the cable car can be reached by ski at approx 400m distance. Kleine Scheidegg/Lauberhorn/Männlichen/Wengen: departure at Grindelwald station (by ski, approx. 500 m distance) or at Männlichenbahn station (by car or by local bus).
