Photos and Description of the Es Grau holiday house

Villa Saudade has its special charm lying in a simple elegance and the authenticity of the object. Villa Saudade is not one of the typical commercial vacation homes in one of the many tourists' agglomerations. It lies with its own private pool of approx. 13 x 6 yards in Parc Natural S'Albufera. The garden which is maintained by a gardener seamlessly integrates into the nature. Old, 6-9 m high palm trees define the character of the garden. There are two terraces. One protected porch and one veranda facing the pool with a splendid view over the reserve. At night only a few lights of houses can be seen although the neighbours are only a few yards away on the other side of the property. Care should be taken with young children in view of the wooden balustrade on the terrace overlooking the pool and the drop of 1 m off the far end of the pool.

Villa Saudade lies in 'Parc Natural S'Albufera', a UNESCO nature reserve and a former golf course project in the 1960s. After approx. 400 houses were projected in the reserve the local government declared it as a protected area. Our house was one of approx. 35 houses build at the time and since then. The park is not even 10 minutes from pulsing Mahon and 15 min. from nice beaches. At 4 km you find Es Grau, an authentic fisher-village with shopping facilities including fresh fish from local fishermen.

Deze villa is gelegen in een prachtig natuurreservaat en is heel comfortabel om rustig na een uitstap een boekje te lezen. Het zwembad is groot en heel goed onderhouden.
Op enkele kilometers zeer mooie vismarkt en delicatesse
winkels met vele soorten ham.

Villa Saudade ist ein wunderschönes Haus für einen sehr entspannten Urlaub. Idyllisch gelegen, abgeschieden aber nicht einsam, mit Außengrill und großem Pool der sehr gepflegt ist - wie ohnehin das gesamte Haus, das sehr geschmackvoll und angenehm leger möbliert ist.
Das Haus ist einfach zu erreichen und hat die perfekte Ausgangslage für abendliche Fahrten an die Hafenpromenade oder den Fischmarkt von Mahon, zum Fischerdorf Es Grau mit Restaurant und Einkaufsmöglichkeit, zu vielen unterschiedlichen Stränden und Sehenswürdigkeiten. Natürlich kann man auch einfach vor der Haustüre spazieren gehen und Vögel & Schildkröten beobachten.
Sehr sympatisch außerdem der persönlich zusammengestellte Reiseführer mit Inseltipps den wir vor Anreise vom Hausbesitzer erhielten.
Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Wieder einmal haben wir zwei wunderbare Wochen mit den Kindern in der charmanten, individuell und geschmackvoll gestalteten Villa Saudade verbracht. Die Lage in der Ruhe der Natur des Biosphärenreservates ist betörend und es ist für Groß und Klein herrlich vom Pool und Garten aus die Sterne und die vielen verschiedenen Tiere (u.a. Schildkröten) beobachten zu können und mal ganz für sich sein zu können. Der Pool ist ausreichend groß zum Schwimmen, Tauchen und Toben für viele. Es Grao, ein authentisches Fischerdorf mit Einkaufsmöglichkeit, Restaurant C´an Bernat und Strand liegt nur 3 km entfernt, die Hauptstadt Mahon und der lebendige Hafen 6 km.
Viele Sehenswürdigkeiten und schöne, auch abgelegene und kaum touristische Strände erreicht man innerhalb einer halben Stunde.
Die Betreuung vor Ort durch die Verwalterin ist sehr freundlich und unkompliziert.

Zum zweiten Mal durften wir in der einmalig schönen Villa Saudade unsere Ferien verbringen und waren wieder absolut zufrieden mit allem. Das geschmackvoll und gemütlich eingerichtete Haus liegt in der völligen Ruhe des Naturschutzgebietes und doch erreicht man in kürzester Zeit alle Sehenswürdigkeiten der Insel, die lebendige Stadt Maó und verschiedene schöne Strände. Das Haus verfügt über jeden wünschbaren Komfort, alles ist sehr gepflegt, die Küche perfekt ausgestattet und auch Ferienlektüre liegt bereit. Hier fühlt man sich wie bei Freunden zu Gast!
