The 'Pavillon d'Horloge', built at the beginning of 1800, is a detached property in the grounds of the main house. This two bedroom well presented house benefits from a sunny courtyard garden. Here you can soak up the sun and enjoy 'al fresco' dining. The house has been newly restored (exposed beams, stripped wooden doors and terracotta floors). Entry is through French windows into the open plan kitchen/living area. The kitchen is well equipped with electric and gas hob, dishwasher, electric grill/oven, micro wave and larder fridge. Satellite television and a music centre. On the second floor you will find a king sized double bedroom and a twin bedroom. Both rooms benefit from large wardrobes for clothes storage. The large bathroom is between the two bedrooms (twin sinks, a purpose built shower, WC). Adjoining the house is a store room containing the washing machine and a fridge freezer. The 'Gite' is centrally heated for the winter season. Sheets and towels are provided.

The 'Manoir les Menestrels', built in 1771, provides two well appointed guest bedrooms, one king-sized double bedroom and one twin bedroom in which we have restored the original wooden doors. Both rooms benefit from views over the park and share bathroom facilities which include a shower, twin sinks and WC. Satellite television is available in the dining room. The house is centrally heated for your comfort in the winter season. A full breakfast is either served in the private dining room or on the extensive garden terrace. Guests are welcome to relax and enjoy the gardens while listening to the wind in the garden's old 'pins maritimes'. German, French and English spoken. Two bicycles available to explore the surrounding countryside. Golf courses available at Montblanc ( near Beziers ), Agde, Lamalou les Mains and Montpellier.

Here's just so much to do and see: Both the gite and bed and breakfast are located about 10 km from Beziers with the Arena, the cathedral, the theatre, the Canal du Midi with its 9 locks... a wide range or interesting shopping and good restaurants (pedestrianised area of the town). North of Beziers there are deep river-valleys surrounded by high rocks with fantastic views over the countryside. This region in general offers many possibilities for everyone: For those who like water: the Mediterranean offers surfing, sailing, water-skiing (20 min), and the rivers Orb and l'Hérault offer swimming, fishing, and canoeing. Sightseeing: Montpellier (40 min), with over 2000 years old history, and Carcassonne - the city of the cathars and the massive 'La Cité' fortress. Nearby, the many Cathar-castles. Narbonne (30 min), Pezenas, the city of Molière (15 min). The Cevennnes (45 min) with lots of caves which you can visit. For the gourmets: the bassin de Thau is known for its oysters and mussels.

*** Der Pavillon d'Horloge - eine Oase der Ruhe und des mediterranen Genießens! Mit freundlichen und entgegenkommenden Hausherren - das Haus ein 'Wohlfühlhaus'. Von diesem Urlaub zwischen Weinbergen, Flüssen, Meer, Burgen und offenen Menschen geraten wir ins Schwärmen. Südfrankreich - du siehst uns wieder! Fam. Rottenbacher aus Innsbruck. ***Besonders beliebt, vor allem bei den Kindern, der Strand von Marseillan Plage - mit dem netten Eisverkäufer! Fam. Krahn aus Sulzbach. *** Nach einer Woche der Erholung, Entspannung, Sonne, Sand, Wein, gutem Essen machen wir uns auf zum nächsten Ziel, dem Atlantik. Am Ende war es eine Woche zu wenig, weil nicht nur die Gegend so unendlich viel zu entdecken bereit hält - auch Hannelore und Horst tragen ihren Teil zum Wohlfühlen bei. Ihre Gastfreundschaft macht den Aufenthalt zum Genuss - einer schönen Erinnerung. Wir wünschen beiden und auch Josefine und Silvester viele schöne Stunden im neuen Heim. Fam. Roemer aus Zürich.
