Two apartments in St Oswald (1300 m) in the same chalet which contrast with Heinke's Pad on the Palm (48124) . The ski lift (also open for much of the summer ) is 500+ m away. The apartments are ideal for skiing and the winter sports opportunities of the Bad Kleinkirchheim valley - 20+ lifts, 90 km of runs and so much more including 2 Spa Baths . For the rest of the year - mountain walks or biking, summer flowers, golf, tennis, lakes & spas touring all make for relaxation and enjoyment. The Garden Wohnung (sleeps 2 but 5 max.) 1 bed/familyroom (with a bunk bed in the dressing area), sauna, lounge/kitchen/diner with open fire and sofa bed The Family Flat -(sleeps 7) 3 beds., large lounge/dining/ room with kitchen . Please note, that we have two separate and different flats and they can be rented separately or as one. The Family Flat has a Master bedroom with balcony and ante-room/dressing room (ideal for Baby), 2 further double bedrooms, a large bathroom with bath and separate shower, separate W.C., large open plan lounge/kitchen/dining area. There is a wrap-a-round south and west facing balcony with great views and a communal garden which includes the streamside BBQ area near 'our' waterfall. The ski lift (also open for much of the summer) is just up the road near a clutch of great restaurants. BKK is about 7 Kilometres away down in the valley.

Bad Kleinkirchheim is the valley below the village of St. Oswald. The whole area is beautiful with mountains rivers and lakes. To us St Oswald is the place to relax but both in summer and winter you can have the most active of holidays. Italy is just an hour away so give yourself the time to tour around but you may prefer to sit and watch 'our' waterfall. Hiking, golf, mountain biking spa baths and other attractions - the list goes on and on This is a place to explore and enjoy with cake shops, restaurants and a reputation for hospitality. The skiing is extensive and somehow there don't seem to be long queues for the lifts.

  • There is a local tax payable to the town we will give you the figures when quoting but reckon on 2 - 3 euros per adult per day. Heating and electricity are included as is bed linen and towels.We do not provide swimming towels. Internet may be available on request but it is supposed to be a holiday.
    We offer discounts for booking of both flats ,for more than 14days, for return visitors and those who have stayed in 'Heinke's Pad on the Palm' (Middle East - United Arab Emirates- Dubai advert 48124,- please ask. Heinke speaks French, German and English. We make an 'end cleaning' charge of 35 euros .

  • The main bedroom with its own balcony has a small ante room in which there is a single bed and a child's cot. The second bedroom has a bunk bed with a double below and a single above! The third bedroom normally has just one double. The lounge has 2 settees one of which converts to a bed. There are plenty of beds to fit the needs of any party. We limit guests to a maximum of 7.

Notes:

We ask smokers to smoke outside. . We are always trying to improve our facilities please let us know if there are items that would help. We dislike the expression elderly but remember Austria has lots of steep hills. The property is on a slope and those who have difficulty with stairs may not be able to take full advantage of the facilities but why not try. Please ask.

St Oswald

St Oswald is a village 6- 7 km up a well maintained tarmac road from the spa town of Bad Kleinkirchheim (BKK)which boasts 90 km + of ski runs, 2 thermal baths and a host of other attractions and facilities . You can ski, snowboard, hike,(for 100s of miles) bike, play golf, tour the Alps and lakes and above all relax. Italy and Slovenia are only an hour away. St Oswald has the Nationapark Brunnachbahn gondola lift which is open during the ski season and much of the summer. This connects with (and is part of the BKK ski area) .St Oswald has a ski school, ski hire and a clutch of restaurants. A car is recommended but the Ski bus which runs throughout the valley also serves the Village. We do not have a shop but there are plenty of shops in BKK . Those seeking a different nightclub everynight may be disappointed .

Skiing Information:

Bad Klienkircheim is a resort with a proud history of excellent skiing. Heinke's Haus is approximately 500 metres from the Nationalpark Brunnachbahn gondola lift which is part of the complex of 26 lifts in B.K.K.. Ski Hire and ski schools are available near the lift. B.K. caters for snow boarders and other winter sport activities.

Golf Information:

Bad Kleinkirchheim has its own Golf course with several others in the area. Special arrangements allow purchase of cards allowing use of a selection of courses.
