Casa di Pietra is a free-standing, traditional Ligurian natural stone house that was completely restored with a feeling for the historical construction in 1999/2000 and practically a new construction with the exception for the natural stone walls. There is a spacious terrace in front of the house with a beautiful panoramic view over the Maro valley toward the south. The interior and furnishings were completely renovated in 2005. The 100 sqm is divided up over two stories. There is a large living room with dining area, fireplace insert and spacious kitchen with terrace access on the ground floor. An open wooden staircase leads to the top floor with 2 bedrooms and an open hall all the way to the roof with additional sleeping space. From there, you can get to a loft in the attic via a steep stairs. There is a spacious bathroom with a shower next to the bedrooms. There is a covered terrace off the master bedroom.

Conio is 24 km from the coast and is a wildly romantic village that is protected by the historical heritage foundation. The Apennine Mountains are only 20 minutes from Conio. Imperia-Porto Maurizio and Riviera dei Fiori with its sandy beaches is only 35 minutes away. Old mule tracks, which were once used for transporting goods, go through olive groves and macchia on the hillside to the jagged mountain ridges. They are perfect for short walks or long hikes. You can always find old oil mills and romantic, little mountain villages, whose inns still serve traditional, imaginative Ligurian cuisine in the Campagna region. Mountain streams are perfect for a refreshing swim.

Finishings/ Room layout: This natural stone house was renovated to the highest of standards in 1999 and offers every living comfort. The 100 qm living space are divided into 2 bedrooms, a spacious shower room, a living room with dining area and a contemporary kitchen. From both terraces, one being rood covered, stunning panoramic views towards the South and the Maro valley can be enjoyed. A Swedish wood burning oven and a central heating system ensure that is house kept warm during the colder times of the year. Warm water is provided by thermal gas heating.

Parking facilities are available 50 m away from the house, for unloading and loading purposes it is possible to drive up to the house. A small footpath leads from the road with parking area down to the house. The surrounding grounds are fenced in allowing for children to play safely in the garden area.

Excursions: It is worth exploring the Ligurian hinterland with the Valle Argentina, Montalto Ligure, Molini di Triora or Apricale, one of the prettiest villages in Liguria. Excursions to the Cote d'Azur (Nice, Monte Carlo) or to the Cinque Terre or Genova are another option. There are also stalactite caves, a number of arts and crafts markets and the music festival in Dolcedo, Cervo (July, August, September).
