Photos and Description of this Sao Martinho do Porto holiday house

Well-maintained atmosphere and excellent service in newly built, luxuriously furnished town house. There’s a big sun terrace and pool with counter current and jet stream and a garden at your disposal. The pool is not cleaned with chemicals. Plenty of garden furniture is provided. All 4 rooms have private bathrooms and TV with satellite reception. TV, hairdryer in every room. Plenty of towels are provided but are not for use on the beach. In the evenings the fireplace in the living room will relax you or you can eat together by candlelight on the pavilion. Internet cafes are in the town. A plentiful buffet will be served on the pavilion or at the pool by arrangement between 9 and11 pm.

Sao Martinho do Porto, unique because of its fantastic huge bay, belongs to the Lenthes which were given to the monks of Alcobaca during the 13th century by the king. The monk planted the fertile land with massive fruit and vegetable plantations. Till the 18th century there was a quay here whose ruins are still to be seen. Many caravels for voyages of discovery were built here. The charms of the bay of Adel and its well-to-do citizens were soon discovered. Today you can still see elegant houses in between all the cafes, restaurants and bars. There’s a daily market for all needs. You can stroll along narrow, steep alleyways and enjoy a panoramic view of the whole bay from the old marketplace behind the town hall. If you take a walk to the lighthouse you’ll see breathtaking views of the Atlantic. Stroll along the white sand in the bay and climb huge sand dunes.

Additional information about rental rates

  • Prices are per night with breakfast for 2 persons for the small room No.2 including towels, change of towels according to need, weekly change of bed linen, room and bathroom cleaning. If you rent the whole house without service, the rental per day/7 persons is 150€ plus 90€ final cleaning. One week minimum booking. It will be rented to one named person. Half of the rent is payable on booking, the rest is to be paid one week before arrival. On cancellation the deposit will be repaid minus booking costs if the property is re-let. I will be glad to answer your questions and give tips to make your holiday as enjoyable and successful as possible. We speak German, English and Portuguese. Wir hatten im Mai 2009 das komplette Haus (ohne Frühstück) angemietet, drei Familien mit kleinen Kindern, somit insgesamt sechs Erwachsene und vier Kinder (1-3 Jahre). Das Haus war toll und hat genau unseren Vorstellungen entsprochen. Auch der Strand mit Bucht war ein Traum für kleine Kinder. Die Vermieterin war sehr nett und immer hilfsbereit und überhaupt nicht geschockt von den kleinen Rackern. Sie hat sich wirklich Mühe gegeben, das Haus kindersicher zu machen, und zudem Kinderbetten und Kinderstühle besorgt.
Ich kann das Haus und dessen Lage nur weiterempfehlen.

Luxuriöse Unterkunft mit reichhaltigem guten Frühstück sowie äußerst liebenswerten Vermieterin, die gerne mit Rat und Tat zur Seite steht. Auto ist unverzichtbar. Gute Autobahnanbinding für Besichtigungstrips. Geschäfte, Strand und Restaurants mit dem Wagen innerhalb 4-5 Min. zu erreichen. Guten Gewissens würden wir es Freunden und Bekannten weiterempfehlen und kommen selbst mit Sicherheit wieder.

wunderschön rustikal eingerichtetes haus mit pool, sehr gemütliche und saubere zimmer, bad mit großer dusche, fewo ca. 10 fußminuten vom strand in sao martinho do porto gelegen, aber auch alle anderen sehenswürdigkeiten im landesinnern sind mit dem auto schnell erreichbar, ca. 250 km nach porto und 100 km nach lissabon, fewo in ruhiger lage in siedlung, optimal für jugendgruppen, kleinfamilien und paare, leckeres und reichliches frühstück, frisches obst und brötchen, große auswahl an wurst, käse und konfitüren, aber auch individuelle frühstückswünsche können erfüllt werden - jeder tag war ein genuß, vermieterin sehr sehr freundlich und gibt gerade portugalneulingen gern ausreichend tipps für städte- und stranderlebnistouren, preisverhältnis ist top, einfach perfekter urlaub ... danke an heidi und emma !!! gern wieder ... lg l+m

Traumhafft schöner Urlaub,mit und ohne Kinder!!

Ein kleines Paradies,so würde mann dieses Haus treffend Bezeichnen.Es ist komplett Stivoll eingerichtet,und alle Zimmer verfügen über einen Fernsehr,den mann aber in dieser Umgebung wahrhaftig nicht braucht.
Mann wohnt in einer sehr gehobenen umgebung und dennoch ist mann schnell im kleinen Örtchen von Sao Martinho.Dieser strand empfiehlt sich besonders für Kinder da er sehr Geschützt ist und keine hohen Wellen wirft. Aber nur ein Paar KM weiter kommen auch "wellen liebhaber" in der "praia do Aurelho(??) ) voll auf seine Kosten. Ganz egal wie mann seinen Urlaub verbringen Möchte,hier haben sie Zahlreiche möglichkeiten, etliche cafes laden zum verweilen ein,und das der berühmte Ort Nazare ist ebenfalls scnell zu erreichen.Der einzige Nachteilist,das der Urlaub auch leider mal zu Ende geht!!!

Tolle Unterkunft!!

Wir hatten eine sehr gute Wegbeschreibung von Lissabon nach Sao Martinho, mit dem dort gemieteten Auto.
Die Vermieterin vermittelte Zugang zu dort lebenden Deutschen, u.a. Ärztin.
Die Beschfreibung von Haus und Umgebung waren sehr genau, das Frühstück ausgezeichnet und abwechslungsreich, alle sonstigen Angaben über Strand, Ausflugsziele, Kunststätten ect. waren zutreffend,
das Haus befindet sich in einem modernen, selbstverständlich sehr sauberen Zustand. Die Vermieterin ist eine offene fröhliche Person, die immer gute Tipps geben kann und für alle Fragen offen ist und gern mit uns auch mal Skat gespielt hat.
Auch mit Freunden waren wir schon dort, die ebenso begeistert waren.
Wir würden diese Unterkunft immer wieder buchen.
