Our vacation home Antico is from former agrarian rooms of the main building of the manor, with as much attention as possible in the origin forms lovingly machined, in Tuscan-rustic style, is very nice and beautiful furnished and consists of two rooms: one bedroom with a king size bed and a living room with a sofa bed as well as a well equipped kitchenette. Furthermore there is a pretty shower bath and a bounteous terrace with a great view onto the calming maremman landscape. Built in the middle of the 19th century from the old-established family Valle, the manor consists of a noble main building, in whose ground floor the vacation home Antico is situated, and further four outbuildings. An oasis in our busy world…with a lot of place and privacy for each guest!

Embedded in the hills of the Tuscan Maremma, with sight onto the old venue Scansano, in the centre of the growing area of the famous Morellino di Scansano and the culinary target of the sophisticated Tuscans and Romans, our over a hundred years old manor Podere Carbona is located on a territory of 6.5 hectares meadows, willows (for our three lordly horses), Macchia and olive groves. An half hour by car to the beaches of the Costa d'Argento, ohne of the most beautiful coasts of Italy, 20 minutes to the hot, thermal sources of Saturnia and 10 minutes to Albegna, a wild-romantic river to bath. A spot of tranquillity and relaxation, but also a starting point for unforgettable walking, rides and bicycle tours as well as trips to the picturesque Etruscan-medieval cities of the surrounding, i.e. Pitigliano, Sovana, Sorano, Roselle or the nature park Maremma, the art park of Niki de Saint-Phalle and Daniel Spoerri, to the romantic islands Giglio and Giannutri…

  • Special conditions: 1st You overwinter in the tuscany – an experience! From December to February it is possible to rent it for 499 € and the additional charges extra. Inclusive: free entry to the hot sulphur thermes of Saturnia. 2nd Christmas and New Years Eve in Maremma! You book both week and get 10% discount…and a New Years Eve bottle Spumante Maremma! 3rd For bikers: - trainees in February: weekly price 250 €, March and November: weekly rates 315 €, extra additional charges and on request heating with a basket of pasta as a welcome present… with a lot of carboidrati to burn.
  • Additional charges: for energy, complete linens and final cleaning 25 € per person for 2 weeks. If you need the heating there will be a flat rate of 10 € per day. Dogs are welcome, but there will be an extra cleaning fee of 25 €. Discounts in 2006: loyalty bonus: on your 2nd stay you get a discount of 5 % for the first 2 weeks, 15 % for the 3rd week. Recognize: The discount applies not for Easter, Pentecost and for august until the middle of September. Additional charges will not be discounted. Every stay you ever were here applies.
  • Ask for last minute offers – up to 35% discount depending on the season.

Notes: Our vacation home Antico is appealing machined out of the old, agrarian room. The living room has a well equipped kitchenette and a lovely dining area with a round glass table on a wrought-iron table frame. The couch is a sofa bed with a good mattress of leather. The bedroom is furnished with antiques Italian equipment. Both rooms have an own access to the bathroom as well as an access to the terrace – if you will be four, you are independent as well. On request you can use our washing machine and our chest freezer. There is the possibility to get and send emails (per computer with DSL) and faxes or to use our telephone or to be called.
