This free standing farm house has been newly restored and it is located 2.5 km from the center of Montescudaio. It is surrounded by fields and olive groves, and it is the close vicinity, there is the river Cecina. The house has 3 apartments. Half of the house was divided in 2 apartments that are available to the guests. Each apartment has a separate entrance and a separate garden area. On the ground floor the renovation was completed last year. The original structure was preserved, especially the wonderful arched ceiling and the typical Tuscany stone façade. One of the apartments has 60 m². It has an eat-in kitchen with an open fireplace, satellite TV and an extendable double bed coach. There is also a big bedroom with double bed and a bathroom with shower and WC. The arrangement is in Tuscany style. The furniture and the cast-iron beds were carefully chosen.

The second apartment in this house is on the first upper floor. It is plain, but attractive through its friendly, rustic, typical Tuscan arrangement. The 60 m² apartment accommodates 5 people. Through a separate entrance, a stone staircase leads you to the kitchen and to the living room with fireplace, sofa, satellite TV and dining area. There are 2 bedrooms. The first bedroom has a double bed and a single bed. The second bedroom has a French bed and a single bed. The bathroom has shower and WC. In the garden, there is garden furniture and a barbecue. In the small garden house, a washing machine is available. You can relax in the garden, enjoy the light and admire the panorama.

The Pisa hills of Montescudaio are approx. 242 m over the sea level. The hills are behind Cecina and only 12 km from the sea. Montescudaio is a charming agro-tourist center. In medieval times and in Renaissance, it was an important fortress thanks to its strategic location. From the ruins of the former fortress, you can enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view upon the sea. It is a pleasure to walk on the narrow streets, passing by terraces and wine cellars, under arches and gates. The atmosphere makes you want to come here again. In the center, you can find restaurants with typical Tuscany delicacies and famous Montescudaio-DOC wines. Besides the several small grocery stores, there is a pharmacy and a bank. The geographical location and the natural surroundings favour the hill/sea tourism. Wide woods offer a refreshing oasis in the summertime.

  • There is a possibility to connect the 2 apartments Pozzo1 and Pozzo 2, so that they accommodate together 9 people. It is ideal for families who like to spend their vacation with friends.
  • Electricity, water and gas are included in the rental rate. The final cleaning is 30 Euros and needs to be paid directly on location. Upon request, linen and towels can be rented for a price of 10 Euros per person.
  • For bookings by January, 31st, you can receive an early booking discount of 5 %. For last minute bookings, namely within maximum 10 days before the check-in, we offer a 10 % last minute discount.

Wir haben in Il Pozzo 2 zwei wunderschöne Wochen mit unseren Kindern (2,5 Jahre und 6 Monate) verbracht. Die Wohnung ist schön eingerichtet und verfügt sowohl in der Küche als auch im Bad über alle Standards, die man erwarten kann (Ausnahme: Spülmaschine). Leider ist diese Wohnung im ersten Stock nur über eine steile Steintreppe zu erreichen und führt direkt in den Wohnbereich. Die Wohnung ist daher für Familien mit Krabbelkindern oder "Laufanfängern" nicht zu empfehlen.
Richtig toll war die unkomplizierte Unterstützung durch den Hausbesitzer: Als ein Abwasserrohr verstopft war, hat er das Problem rasch und kompetent behoben.
Noch ein Tipp zum Schluss: Mit Mückenschutz eingerieben, machen die Abende im Freien noch mehr Spaß.
