Restaurants and Bars:
Around the corner from the apartment and in the nearby Winterfeldplatz you can find numerous international restaurants, from Australian (on Grunewaldstr.) to Turkish. There are more cafes, restaurants and bars as well as nice shops in the Goltz- and Akazien streets. The cosy Cafe´Thomasa around the corner in the Salzburger/Wartburg streets serves nice breakfast. The close by tavern 'Robbengatter' (on Grunewaldstr.) is famous for its good cooking (and good prices lunches) and its numerous kinds of beers. The neighbourhood also offers German as well as international take out like Chinese or Turkish food. All in all, there are lots of possibilities to eat German and International food all over Berlin at a reasonable price.
Leisure time and culture:
There are various music bars as well as movie theatres, cabaret shows, theatres, and operas in Schöneberg, Wilmersdorf and Charlottenburg. Cabaret and other fans get their money's worth. There is also a big park, the 'Rudolf Wilde Park' near by. Aside from the regular tourist sights (government quarters, 'Straße unter den Linden', Brandenburger Tor, museums, Nikolaiviertel) you get the opportunity to discover the original Berlin and its city life. It is worth while to walk to the Ku-damm, 'Gedächtniskirche', KaDeWe or Winterfeldplatz. On the way you see typical Berlin row houses from the turn of the century.
Specifics:
You are very welcome as our guests. We prefer if you book the apartment for 3 days or more. If you prefer to stay one or two days, however, it is possible as well, but we need to charge for additional expenses. There is a contact person. There are optimal transit connections in all directions. The subway lines U4 and U7 are within 100 meters, and there are several buses and trams nearby. Many restaurants are in walking distance from the apartment. The apartment is centrally located but in a quiet residential area al well. There are free parking possibilities around the house. A few minutes away there are several grocery stores, doctors, Internet cafés. If you prefer not to clean the apartment at the end of your stay, it can be done by our staff for a small fee. If you stay longer than one week sheets and towels will be changed for free. We provide complimentary coffee, tee, and cocoa in the apartment. As a special, we offer a coupon for one free meal in a selected Berlin restaurant.
