Photos and Description of this Ravi holiday apartment

Casa le Basse was built in the 1950´s, unfortunately, a huge part of the house was no longer habitable by the time I purchased it. In 2002, I rebuilt the house with a lot of love for details into a little vacation home. Today I am still constantly working on its embellishment with the help of my wife. With its 2 comfortable holiday apartments, it becomes the ideal guest house for those seeking for quietness and relaxation. Also for those who value a location in the middle of olive groves, small vineyards and wheat fields. An alternative to its quietness is offered by the nearby vacation resorts with enough entertainment options (bars, pubs, discos, etc.). The house’s own gorgeous swimming-pool is also at our guest’s disposal at any time (5 minutes walk away). Anyhow, we at Casa Le Basse are willing to provide you a personal and familiar atmosphere.

'Giuncarico' apartment is approximately 38 m² and consists of a 'Soggiorno' with kitchen, dining and living area, 1 double bedroom (1.60 m) and 1 bathroom with shower, WC and bidet. It is possible to arrange a third sleeping accommodation (only for children under 16 years old). The apartment is spacious and has been completely rebuilt in 2002 as a part of the house’s remodelling. We let out all the 'vital' comforts of modern life such as microwave, cable-TV and Internet connection. My wife and I are not into conservative dispositions but are convinced one can perfectly manage 1 or 2 weeks without them. And our guests often agree with us. The emphasis at Casa Le Basse might not be on Formula One car racing or on German soap opera ' Gute Zeiten, schlechte Zeiten' (good times, bad times), but instead, on the shared BBQ nights, a good glass of vine and a little chat with the neighbours.

Casa Le Basse is located in the Gavorrano community, near the village of Ravi and lies very harmoniously in the middle of the gentle hills of Maremma´s. The charming surroundings offer varied sceneries for both hiking lovers and cyclists. The gorgeous beaches of Follonica, Punta Ala and Castiglione della Pescaia are located just 9 miles away. Florence, Siena, Volterra and Pisa - cities of interest for art and culture lovers, can easily and rapidly be reached from Casa Le Basse. A one day trip is enough to go and visit Elba Island or Rome, the capital city. Also very well located for all fine vine lovers. Montalcino, Montecucco, Morellino di Scansano and Motereggio di Massa Marittima are the largest vine growing areas of this region and produce some of today’s best wines in the whole world. Our guests also pointed out that we are an interesting spot for people interested in birdwatching.

Notes: The sitting area in front of the apartment is covered with a pergola and offers much shade. Besides, there is a shared BBQ area under the pines which can be used by all the guests. There is no washing machine at the apartment, but my wife can do your laundry for a small additional charge.

Hier haben wir einen wirklich erholsamen, rundherum gelungenen Urlaub verbracht. Haus, Ausstattung, Vermieter, Umgebung, Landschaft, Einkaufs- und Ausflugsmöglichkeiten - alles super. Und das Wetter spielte auch mit, so dass wir die Seele baumeln lassen konnten, jeden Tag im Meer baden und uns mit italienischen Köstlichkeiten verwöhnen konnten, abends den klaren Sternenhimmel bestaunen und wunderbar schlafen konnten - Bella Itaia! Ciao Andrea und Daniel und Elia, auf ein frohes Wiedersehen!
