Finca Eremita is located between Felanitx and Porto Colom. To reach this secluded Finca you pass about 2 km of non-paved access road. It is idyllically situated on the hillside at the foot of the San Salvador monastery mountain. This stone Finca is surrounded by fields of almond and carob trees. From the different terraces of the house you can enjoy a magnificent panoramic view over the sea. The landscaping around the house is lovingly designed. The Majorcan owners take care of the property personally if necessary. This is the place to sit back and enjoy the peace and quiet. It will be like paradise for you and your children.

Porto Colom is a former fishing village with a natural harbour and a picturesque lighthouse. The village has grown naturally and impresses with its alleys, its compact church and its colourful boathouses. It is a place where you can still find an original atmosphere which has remained largely unaffected by mass tourism. Around Porto Colom there are beautiful sandy beaches, some of them within walking distance. The large bays are protected from wind and weather and invite for beautiful walks or trips to the beach. The Westside of the bay of Porto Colom is bordered by a wide avenue planted with sycamore trees. You can reach the Sa Punta lighthouse by taking a narrow winding road along the shore.

Open all year round, renting also during winter season (central gas heating). During peak season from May through October arrival day is on Saturday. Minimum stay: 1 week. Check-in: 15.00 hrs., check-out: 10.00 hrs. Please understand these hours since we need time to prepare the house for our next guests. During low season (November through April) we are much more flexible regarding arrival day, check-in and/or check-out. Minimum stay: 1 week.

Notes to the rental rates

  • All rental rates are per week. Price includes use of the Finca for a maximum of 5 people, bed linen, towels, cot and all extra charges such as water, gas, etc. Maid service and change of linen once per week. Please bring your own beach towels. Final cleaning € 80.
  • Booking modalities: upon reservation you will receive a booking confirmation, directions and information regarding car rental per email or mail. Please transfer 30 % of the rental amount upon arrival of this information to the indicated account. The rest is payable when you receive the keys. If possible you will be expected by a bilingual contact person (German/English) on arrival at the agreed meeting point at any day or night time, who will take you to the rental place, hand you the keys of the house and give you some initial indications. This person is also authorized to receive the remaining payment on behalf of the owners against a receipt. We want you to feel as secure as possible booking over the Internet.

Notes:

Finca Eremita is a one-story house. You enter the hallway through a large wooden floor. On your left the is a bedroom with double bed 150 x 190, on your right you have direct access to the large living area with dining-room and kitchen. From here you can reach the large terrace furnished with a big stone table and wooden benches. There are 2 more bedrooms, one with 2 twin beds 90 x 190, the other 1 with a single bed 115 x 190, 2 bathrooms, 1 with a shower and the 2nd bathroom featuring a small tub, both connected through a corridor. There is a washing-machine in the storage room. The accommodation is simple and rustic. Electricity is provided by solar energy and a generator which means that light is generated through solar cells and 220 V through the generator which is located in the pool utility room (e.g. for the washing-machine, hairdryer and razor). Refrigerator, stove and warm water are gas-powered, common in this country. The swimming-pool is childproof and measures 7 x 3,5 m.

Nearby beaches

Cala Marsal: the biggest sandy beach nearby which is easy to reach and perfect for children, offers restaurants and beach bar, sun loungers, sunshades, showers, pedal boats, etc. It is surrounded by several smaller hotels. The parking lot is right next to the beach. Cala Brafi: a small natural beach, only accessible through a cliff trail. Cala Murada: mainly locals who come to enjoy this beach together with predominantly German, Belgian and French tourists who take their vacation in the only hotel available. You can park your car directly at the beach. Es Domingos: a very beautiful sandy beach, with deep waters and high waves with wind. Cala Senau: a smaller finer sandy beach surrounded by pine woods. Cala Serena, Cala Esmeralda, Cala Gran, Cala Egos, Cala Barca, Cala Mondrago, etc.

Cala D' Or

The center of Cala D'Or ('the white city at the sea') offers the most complete variety of free time activities of the East coast. You may choose between a wide range of restaurants, shops, bars and boutiques. It is possibly the best sporting harbour in Majorca. Every year it attracts the elite of Europe's luxury yachts. In a distance of 10 km is Vall D'Or, one of the most well-known golf courses in Majorca, with its newly renovated club house and a magnificent view of Cala D' Or as well as the harbour of Porto Colom. Golf courses are offered regularly for beginners and advanced players in small groups, in Spanish, German or English. Also worth a visit for 'non-golfers' for its ample installations!

Felanitx

Felanitx is located at the coastal road in the eastern part of Majorca and is a typical majorcan small town. Just walk through the streets and you will notice its former importance. Today it is a very hospitable town; Majorcans live together with Spaniards from all other regions of the Peninsula as well as foreigners. You will find all kinds of shopping possibilities, doctors, day hospital, bars, restaurants, hairdresser, etc. The cultural center offers a wide program of exhibitions, readings, concerts and so on. There is a deep interest for cultural events. Felanitx also offers a variety of qualified professionals, skilled workers in almost any branch and business. Especially remarkable is the beautiful village church and the market every sunday, well-known on the island.
