This delightful gite is situated in 1200 square metres beautiful garden, enclosed by a high hedge. The house is comfortably furnished with all modern fittings. The property is perfectly positioned for peace and quiet and yet is only a 2 minute car drive from La Force and a 10 minute car drive from Bergerac, where you can find all facilities.

Nearest Train: Bergerac at 10 Kilometres

Nearest Beach: beach at 120 Kilometres

Places to see include Périgueux Cathedral dsigned by the architect of Sacre Coeur in Paris, which is a beautiful backdrop to the Wednesday morning market and the town has some excellent food shops. In addition there is Castillon la Bataille, place of the final great battle of the Hundred Years War and where there is a re-enactment of the great battle in a night-time spectacle every year in July and August. A visit to the vineyards of Monbazillac just outside Bergerac and a trip to St. Emilion both make a good day out.

Within a short drive there are numerous golf courses and places to walk and cycle and there are also canoe hire bases on the rivers of Dordogne and Vézères. The region is famous for its different music festivals 'classical and jazz' which attract musicians from all the world. You will find many antique fairs, local markets and wine festivals and tastings, which are well organized and which will help you to make your visit enjoyable and memorable. The region is famous for its cuisine and restaurants give extremely good value for money. There is a particularly wide choice in the medieval Bastides district.
