Hiking, walking, trekking: On all the mountains nearby you will find routes for climbers as well as for families, everywhere are mountain pastures with a wonderful prospect: The Dachstein glacier and the Gosau lake to his feet, the Postalm – the largest alp area of Austria (20min. by car with a wonderful view over lakes, mountains,...) you can walk or use the ski-lift to bring you higher, you walk alone or choose a guided walking-tour to the virgin forest with trees you normally do not find in the alps (its free for you with the guest card).

Mountainbiking: Mountainbikers can choose between 20 routes (Dachsteinrunde (173 km, 4600 Hm), Salzburger Almentour (146 km, 4170 Hm), Edtalm- (24,6 km), Hornspitz- (21,7 km) und Kreslroute (17,5 km) of different difficulties, from these longer to safe and short distance routes for families with children.
Ski:
Just click your skis on at the front door, go away and come back the same way. You do not need a car, not even for shopping! This popular family ski resort between Annaberg, Russbach, Zwieselalm and Gosau offers pure snow fun for every skier-fun, we are a wonderful freeride area, have more than 45 modern lifts, 140Km snow safe slopes and many traditional and modern restaurants, cosy alpine huts to rest and enjoy this unique landscape. Ski schools and ski rentals are in the village. Other well known ski resorts (Sportwelt Amade Flachau, Obertauern,...) are 20 - 30 minutes away and can be visited with only one ski-pass. Enjoy cross-country skiing, going by an horse sleigh or choose an illuminated toboggan run in Abtenau.
