Winter:
At a distance of approx. 3km from St. Johann, located at a height of 800 m, at the foot of the Gernkogel ski-mountain (1787m). The Alpine village ranks as the first ski-region in the 'Salzburg Sports World' or in the 'Ski Amade' not only among the connoisseurs. Most modern cabins and car lifts are beginning right from the alpine village of the larges ski-region of Austria (1 ski pass for over 270 ski-lifts and 860 km of well-cared ski runs). Great snow safety at the alpine village mountain railroads and at the platter lifts through efficient ski lifts leading up to the valley. Cross-country skiers enjoy the lovely high cross-country ski run situated at a height of 1600 m above sea level (150 km of terrific cross-country ski runs). Three, organized skiing and snowboarding schools, ski kindergartens, ski rentals, (ski instructor comes home). Sleigh games on an illuminated toboggan track. You can also enjoy wonderful winter hikes and a romantic coach tour. And all of it without a car!
Summer:
The whole family can have endless fun in the nearby bathing lakes. On the other hand you can enjoy not only the 'extremely' cold, nevertheless, refreshing water in the high mountain lakes. Tennis lovers find more than 20 well-maintained clay and indoor tennis courts. And of course renowned tennis schools with trained instructors. There are around 15 excellent golf courses around Alpendorf and St. Johann where all golf enthusiasts can enjoy. Alone or as a couple, with the whole family or well guided by the host family. The mountains connect, calm and strengthen to the body and mind. Even a ' rainy hike in the alps' with cozy retreats and the rustic parlor, can be an extremely romantic mountain experience. Worth seeing: Liechtenstein Gorge in St. Johann, Ice Caves Werfen, Adventure castle Werfen, Water games Salzburg, salt mine Hallein, Großglockner.

Weekly hikes with the national park attendant into the Krummel valley to the bearded vulture project. After a comfortable hike of 1 1/2 hours you are invited to our Alpine pasture for a snack of home-made products. It would be particularly recommended for asthmatics to hike to the waterfall, which is 10 minutes away from the Alm. Program for bad weather: Bread baking. Hello children! Ponies, playground, bathing in the lake or a small mountain hike? Help us in the stables or experience many other things. Enjoy the nature with a walk in the surrounding mountains and get to know the native animals, ride our ponies or relax in the nearby bathing lake. You can experience all that and a lot more when you spend your holidays with us.
