Rome holiday apartment

This was the perfect place for my wife and I to stay on our first trip to Rome. The apartment was very comfortable and clean and our host extremely gracious. We enjoyed the short walk to the Vatican as well as easy access (we preferred the bus) to all of central Rome. The nearby stores and restaurants were accomodating with my inability to communicate in Italian. Most importantly, each evening ended with a scrumptious gelato conveniently located minutes from the apartment. The experience was very much like living in a mid-town Manhattan apartment and exploring the city.

If you are looking to create a "home away from home" while you holiday in Rome, then this apartment is the perfect match for you. It has all the amenities and comforts one could possibly need. With local grocery steps away, it is simple to buy and prepare your own meals in the fully equipped kitchen... a great way to save euros to extend your holiday! The two rooms are spacious, clean and bright. The comfortable bed and fluffy duvet made sleeping a dream. Complete with air conditioning and free wireless access we could not have asked for more! An ample fruit arrangement and some sweet treats greeted us when we arrived, provided by our gracious host Daniela. Such a considerate treat after a long day of travel. We would definitely recommend "apartment-style" accommodation to anyone looking to stray from the constraints of hotel living. We would recommend a minimum stay length of one week as our four days was not nearly enough to see all that Rome has to offer. The Gelato cafe down the street is also a must! (maybe even more than once!).

Die Wohnung entsprach voll und ganz der Beschreibung. Sie war sehr sauber und zweckmäßig eingerichtet. Allerdings ist kein Backofen vorhanden. Ist aber auch nicht zwingend notwendig. Ansonsten sind Kaffeemaschine, Toaster, Mikrowelle und Waschmaschine vorhanden. Im Schlafzimmerschrank ist reichlich Platz vorhanden und die Matratze sehr gut. Es ist ausreichend Platz für 2 Personen, es würde aber auch für 3 Personen reichen. Von der Vermieterin wurden wir sehr herzlich empfangen und umfangreich über Umgebung und Sehenswürdigkeiten informiert. Empfehlenswert ist der angebotene Taxiservice, günstig und mit kleinen Überraschungen. Ganz in der Nähe sind 2 Supermärkte. Bus- und Metrostationen sind innerhalb von 5 bzw. 10 Minuten zu erreichen. Wir haben allerdings hiervon keinen Gebrauch gemacht. Mit dem Bus steht man nur im Stau und man bekommt von den kleinen netten Gassen nichts mit! Der Vatikan ist in ca 15 Minuten zu erreichen.
Wenn wir wieder nach Rom wollen, werden wir mit Sicherheit diese Wohnung wieder mieten.
