Vacation activities:
Sport freaks don’t have to put back a long way, because the greatest tennis construction of the Algarve with sandy and courts, fitness centre, diving base, aerobic hall, billiard room and pool you get within 3 minutes walking distance. For our guests the access is free of charge (use for a fee). There you find additional bistros, hairdressers and nail studio. Shopping freaks can make a trip to the Algarve shopping centre in Guia (15 minutes) and cap your purchase with a typical “chicke piri-piri” – dine in the piri-piri stronghold Guia. Who wants to go to the beach, really needs a car. But therefore a lot of small bays wait for you, among other things the most famous of the Algarve, the Praia da Marinha. Special activites for kids and teens:
It’s clear that kids and youngsters like to be among each other. Then the tennis construction is the top address for you. Here you meet like-minded people from different countries. To speak English would be not bad. After a match of tennis or table tennis you can go to the club pool with a diving board or to the bistro. Body fans meet in the fitness centre. Billiard and a tabletop soccer are also available. Delight to dive or a diving course? Here you are right. Then you arrange for the evening, e. g to go to the disco ‘mile’ to Praia do Rocha (8 km) or drive to the Centro of Carvoeiro. One day in the 'Splide & Splash' (3 km) with the rapid water slides (among others Black Hole) you absolutely should dispatch. Go-kart fans don’t miss out the kart alley in Almancil. The most beautiful horses for rides and ride lessons wait for you in 6 km distance, in the Zoo-Marine (Guia) Dolphin (show) and other sea dwellers. Fishing trips start in Portimao and a basketball basket is also available.
The charm of the seasons:
Every season at the Algarve is beautiful on its own, special way. In January and February the spring begins, the almond trees bloom, the nature and the fairways are pleasant green. Wanderers as well as golfers enjoy the clear air of the Atlantic Ocean with 20 °. In March and April the nature appears in the full flowerage. The May brings the first aestival 30°. On the markets abound fruits, salads and tomatoes. The life takes place nearly always outside. June, July and August are the hottest summer months with 30°. Pool and sea bring refreshment by the day. In the nights here always a cool, fresh Atlantic breeze blows. September and October offer with 25° pleasant temperatures, the bathing in the sea still makes fun. November is the rainy month. Over and over there it rains shower likely but then the sun also laughs. And Christmas – yes, then you already breakfast again in the sun on our terrace.
Ski:
Unfortunately we cannot give you advices for skiing or snowboarding, because snow here at the Algarve is unimaginable. But you can try water-ski – then we can help you.
Golf:
In the surrounding of 20 km you find 11 of the 41 Algarve golf courses, thereof „Pinta“ and „Gramacho“ only 2 km apart with a really beautiful and wide-spread driving range, so that the trainee makes fun, too. The majority of these courses are embedded into the gorgeous landscapes. This means there are always hilly fairways in contrast to mostly flat courses nearby Faro. 2 new courses 6 km apart (Silves and Porches) are opens in November 2006. Very recommendable is the „Golfe do Morgado“ close to Portimao (20 minutes). The course is quiet located on a plateau surrounded by hills with trees. The broad fairways attract to brave drives if there wouldn’t be the malicious placed brigs or water. The hit from the 13th Tee is spectacular as a doglag in right direction to a lake. Here you find the PGA-Pro Nelson which brings in the shortest time without many words and with a charming wise the doubting golfers back to new verve. And who wants to start golfing Nelson is the right address: single lesson 45 € (1 person), 55 € (2 persons).
