The 2 room apartment with a private garden and place to sit is in a new residence. The apartment has a lockable garage. The apartment has a sea view and the sea is less than a 5 minute walk away. Shopping facilities, post office, doctor, bus stop are nearby. San Remo, the stronghold of flower production, about 10 km away and the province capitol of Imperia is 16 km away - these can be reached by car or bus. Riva Ligure is a small, picturesque city on the coast of Liguria. A lot of villages on the coast or the inland were founded during or before the Roman time, old, preserved ruins provide evidence of this. Nature lovers can go on long walks through olive groves, but also through vineyards and chestnut forests. The neighbouring Castellaro has a stunning golf course. Along the coast you will find a new panorama cycling path, starting 2009 it can be driven on from Bordighera to Imperia. November 14th, opening of another part of the path.

The house is located in a sparse stretch of land that goes from ventimiglia to La Spezia, embedded between Mediterranean Sea Alps/Appenine and the Mediterranean Sea. Whether you want to just be lazy on the beach, go hiking through the vineyards or steep slopes with olive trees, go visit the cities, look for tranquillity in the mountains or trace the 2500 year old history of the cities - everyone will find something to do here. The capitol of Genoa, once the first shipping and commerce area in Europe - the gate to the world -, now has an exciting aquarium, the province capitols of Imperia, Savona, La Spezia, but also San Remo, known for its annual festivals, Alassio or Portofino -all places that are worth visiting.

Nahe bei San Remo, gute Ausflugsziele

Der Ort Riva Ligure ist nicht unbedingt ein touristisch, hoch erschlossenes Örtchen. Es gibt eine nette Altstadt, allerdings ist das direkte Nachbardörfchen San Stefano (zu Fuß gut erreichbar) schöner und idyllischer.
Die Ferienwohnung ist gut ausgestattet und sauber. Das Schlafzimmer (Doppelbett) hat einen großen Schrank, in dem man die Reisekleidung gut unterbekommt.
Im Badezimmer befindet sich eine Waschmaschine und das ist wirklich sehr gut.
Im der großen Wohn-, Schlafraum ist ein kleiner Fernseher (nur italienische Sender!!) und die Schlafcouch könnte für zwei Jugendliche über 14 Jahre doch sehr eng sein.
Die große Terasse ist wunderschön, hier kann man gut die Mahlzeiten zu sich nehmen und auch entspannen.
Der große Nachteil ist die in nur 50m Entfernung befindliche Hauptstraße.
Daran muß man sich gewöhnen.
Allerdings ist das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis entspreechend gut.
Dei Vermieterin (direkte Nachbarschaft vis-a-vis mit der Terasse) ist sehr nett und kann einem richtig gute Tips über die Region geben.

Zum Baden muß man ca. 10min. von der Wohnung aus an der Hauptstraße entlang laufen.
Der Strand ist ein wenig Gewöhnungsbedürftig, da Naturstrand.
Wenn man einen etas größeren Sandstrand, ohne Gebühren zu zahlen haben möchte, bietet sich das in San Stefano.

Ausflugstips: San Remo, Monacco, Nizza, Botanische Anlagen Hanburry (Richt. Monacco), Bergdörfer, Wochenendmarkt Bordighera (das Meer zum Baden hat eine Blaue Flagge bekommen, direkt hinter den Marktständen, traumhaft..)

Fazit: Wäre die Hauptstraße nicht so in der Nähe, gäb es für die Bewertung mindestens ein gut!!!
