Just imagine, waking in the morning to the sound of birdsong from outside. Behind the property rise imposing mountains, which are crowned by an almost four-thousand metre high volcano. You stand on the spacious terrace and see the silhouettes in the morning sun of the small neighboring islands of La Gomera and La Palma, before you take a refreshing dip in the pool. Maybe it still sounds like a dream, but now this dream can become reality. The 'Villa Almendros' residence is in Taucho, in the municipality Adeje, far away from the bustle of the tourist resorts like Playa de Las Americas and Los Cristianos. The villa country house is truly idyllic owing to its mountainside location at a height of about 700 metres. It’s only a short hop down to the beaches at Playa de Las Americas and the nearest golf course is only around 10 minutes away. It’s also a good spot for direct access to the Las Cañadas national park - with its fissured moonscapes, the famous observatory and its fantastic view.

• The price of the main house for up to 4 people per day is: 07.01.07 = € 180, 22.12.07 - 06.01.08 = € 220, 07.01.08 = € 180. Where a suite is rented, the cost for 2 additional people per day is: 07.01.07 = € 60,
  22.12.07 - 06.01.08 = € 80, 07.01.08 = € 60. Children under 2 years are free. For them, a cot and a high chair are available. Final cleaning costs one extra day’s rent. If the Internet connection is used, €10 will be charged per week or part-week.

The floor space of about 250m² is distributed between two buildings, which are only separated by a narrow path to the garden. In main building are the living room, the kitchen, the dining-room, two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Two comfortable suites are accommodated in the ancillary building, each comprising a living/sleeping area and a bathroom. The dream house offered by us here renders every comfort, to the extent that it would be tedious to deal with every detail. We specify interior fittings, therefore, using key words only. Main house: The living room is about 50m² and has several comfy sofas, a satellite TV with international channels in digital quality. Stereo sound-system with CD player. DVD Player. Telephone and internet connection. And for pianists, a piano. In one of the two roomy bedrooms there is a further television set and a mini-bar. Each bedroom has its own entrance to the bathroom.

General information

The majestic flair of this residence with its natural garden grounds of nearly 4,000m² draws the visitor immediately into its spell. “Almendros” in English means “almonds”. The approach to the country house, built in colonial style, is a 50m (approx.) drive, lined with almond trees. Immediately in front of the house, facing south-west to the sea, are the sun terrace and a substantial pool of about 70m², which is bordered by flowerbeds and lawns. From the pool and the terrace you don’t just have a fantastic view of La Gomera and the Atlantic, but in the evening, a view over the sea of lights of the tourist resorts, down on the coast. The mighty Teide volcano rises over the 'island of eternal spring' and can admired almost every day from 'Villa Almendros', in all its splendour. The evening is the most beautiful time on the terrace of this country house, the blood-red sun behind the silhouette of the island of La Gomera, scarcely 30 kilometres away, sinking slowly into the sea.
