La Vecchia Sassa is a real gem. Cinzia, the owner, took it for granted that this 17th century property had to retain its original character when it was renovated. It has now been refurnished with 19th century antiquities with loving attention to detail, without forgetting up-to-date mod cons. It has all harmonised into a lovely property with original Tuscan charm. You’ll feel at home in La Vecchia Sassa straight away. I took just one look at this idyllic, well-maintained estate and fell in love with it. The flair of this property is revealed in every loving detail, from the park-style garden to the splendid large terrace above the pool with a panorama view of the Val d’Era and the wonderful garden or the elegant pool. This apartment has its own beautiful terrace.

Nearest Airport: Pisa at 60 Kilometres
Nearest Train: Castelfiorentino at 28 Kilometres
Nearest Motorway: Peccioli at 20 Kilometres

La Vecchia Sassa is at the edge of the lovely little village of Iano. Iano is a picturesque little village with typical Tuscan flair. There’s a pretty restaurant, a bar for drinking espresso and also a little supermarket, a baker and a butcher. Lots of pretty shops are to be found in Montaione (10 km). What’s more, there’s a large supermarket, banks, a pharmacy and doctors. The central location of the property is great for trips to the famous attractions of Tuscany. Here’s just a short list: 20 min. to Volterra & San Gimignano, ¾- 1 hour to Florence, Siena & Pisa, 1 ¼ hours to Lucca. Please call me for more ideas of things to see. I’ll be glad to help.
