Our Sicilian vacation home is in a quiet, safe area, it was completed in 2001 and is located in the beautiful village of Forza d'Agro. The movie, 'The Godfather' was filmed in Forza d'Agrò. Known for its breathtaking mountain views Forza d'Agro is 1300' (420m) above the Mediterranean Sea and includes an 11th - 12th century castle and its adjacent homes. The apartment has 2 bedrooms, a kitchen/living room and a bathroom. The first floor has a terrace and a small fish pond. The second floor has a balcony. There is common large roof terrace for private sun bathing. The roof terrace provides stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea, the coast beyond the city of Calabria, the castle and more! The professionally landscaped grounds have many local plants, including a small vineyard. There is off-street parking including a gate for security.

There are many day trips available due to the central location of Forza d'Agrò. Palermo is a two hour day trip and Siracusa is a under a two hour ride. There are also many water sports; fishing scuba diving, water skiing. The beaches are 5 minutes away from Forza d'Agro by car. Day trips to the health spa's on the islands of Lipari using the volcanic hot mud baths. The closest airport would be Catania 35 miles (60 km). The distance from Forza d'Agrò to the well known tourist town of Toarmina, is 6 miles (10 km). Volcano Etna is located 18 miles (30 km) away and Messina is 26 miles (42 km) away.

Eine wirklich gemütliche Ferienwohnung

Während unseres Aufenthaltes in der Villa Kristina haben wir uns wie zu Hause gefühlt. Wir haben alles so vorgefunden, wie es im Internet beschrieben war. Sehr,sehr gepflegt, sauber und ruhig. Auf deutsche Bedürfnisse eingerichtet. Die Anfahrt mit dem PKW ist problemlos zu bewältigen. In nur wenigen Minuten ist man zu Fuß im Ortskern von Forza und kann dort einkaufen und auch gut essen gehen. Wir waren bestimmt nicht das letzte Mal zu Gast in der Villa Kristina.

Die Angaben im Internet stimmten mit den Gegebenheiten der Ferienwohnung vor Ort überein, die Ferienwohnung ist sehr gut ausgestatten, sauber und gepflegt. Parkplatz ist am Haus vorhanden. Hervorzuheben ist vor allem die Dachterasse, auf der man ein Sonnenbad nehmen und über das Meer schauen kann. Es gibt verschiedene Restaurants und Lebensmittelgeschäfte des täglichen Bedarfs. Durch die Vermieterfamilie wurden wir gut auf unseren Aufenthalt vorbereitet. Wir hatten einen schönen Urlaub und können die Ferienwohnung gerne weiterempfehlen.

Wir haben uns in Villa Kristina wie zu Hause gefühlt und uns immer wieder gefreut nach einem erlebnisreichen Tag dorthin zurück zu kehren. Die Wohnung ist sauber, sehr gemütlich und sehr gut ausgestattet, uns hat es an nichts gefehlt. Die Umgebung ist sehr verkehrsarm und mit dem Auto kann man direkt vors Haus fahren und dort auch parken, dies war sehr praktisch, da wir unser Gepäck nicht weit tragen mussten. Es hat uns gut gefallen und wir kommen mit Sicherheit wieder!
