The comfortable cottage lies in a typical, old, quiet French village with a lovely big garden. It accommodates max. 5 persons. Bed, kitchen and bath linens are provided. Terrace, garden furniture, Barbecue and table-tennis. Children are welcome. Even pets. Shops, pharmacies and physicians are in the radius of 3 to 4 km. The beach (Royan) is at a distance of 13 km, free beaches (la Grande Côte), wild Atlantic, (la Côte Sauvage) are located partially in the forest, partly distributed on the entire coast. La Rochelle, Saintes, the islands of Ré, Oléron, Aix, the oyster’s fishery, gallo-Roman sights and Roman churches, prehistoric grottos, and the wine areas of Cognac, Médoc, St Emilion are the regional focal points. Large sandy beaches, culture, entertainment, recreation, tranquillity of the countryside, catering: ideal for a beautiful holiday for two or for the whole family. Connection through the A 10 Paris – Bordeaux, Depart Saintes. German is spoken. Rental contract in German.

Village located 3 km away from Saujon, a comfortable little town with market (Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday), 4 supermarkets, all services, swimming pool, and tennis. There is a large typical market with fresh products from the land and the sea in Royan, which is 15 minutes away. Shopping, strolling at Front de Mer, many restaurants, casinos. The beach of St Georges, the small bays, the picturesque village of Talmont with wonderful church and artistic craftsmen is offered South of la Gironde. You will find la Grande Côte, with wide guarded beaches and large waves to the North, after the beautiful St Palais. This beautiful street between the sea and the forest leads to La Palmyre with its famous zoo and the wild beaches of La Côte Sauvage. Marennes-Oléron is the most popular region for oysters. You have an insight into this landscape when you cross the bridge of river La Seudre or the bridge of Oléron. Saintes, La Rochelle, Rochefort, Cognac are the cities in the vicinity.

Catering: We recommend oysters, seafood, fishes, butter and melons for a meal and a red wine (Médoc, Saint-Emilion and local wine), white wine or Rose wine (local) for drinking. Enjoy a Pineau (Aperitif of the cognac) which is very well suited with melons or a cognac. There is a restaurant awarded 2 Michelin stars in the vicinity: Richard Coutanceau in La Rochelle. You are provided with a small list of restaurants by the lake.
