Casa Maria is a Ligurian farm house on three levels nestling in the historic centre of Deglio Faraldi olive village. Downstairs there’s an entrance, a living room with sofa bed, a shower bathroom and a utility room. The middle floor has a spacious living room with adjacent large kitchen and a bedroom with balcony. The attic level has a bedroom with access to the sunny roof terrace. All three levels are united by an open staircase, so only the bedroom on the middle floor is separate. From (middle) and attic level there is a lovely view of the valley as far as the sea. From the roof terrace there’s a fine view of the mountains. A restaurant with good Ligurian food is at the edge of the village, the grocery shop is circa 2 km in the neighbouring village. It’s about 9 km to the seaside at San Bartolomeo al Mare.

Deglio Farald is about 350 m above sea level and approx. 9 km from the coastal towns of San Bartolomeo al Mare, Cervo and Diano Marina, where long sandy beaches alternate with wild cliffs. There are pathways from the village right up the surrounding mountains (approx. 500 – 800 m high). Jogging and light hiking are possible along the roads due to them having very little traffic. From Deglio it’s really easy to go and see surrounding villages and explore special works of art and architecture, dripstone caves, lots of markets or take day-tours of towns like Bordighera, Sanremo, Monte Carlo or Nice, Alassio and Genua. You’ll love Hanbury Gardens (between Ventimiglia and Menton) with exotic flora and many restaurants with Ligurian specialities on the coast and nearby.
