The house is set in 12.000 sqm of private olive groves with beautiful views over the mountains, a wide valley and its hillsides. Just a few minutes away from the small white village of Alcaucín and only 25 minutes away from the sea it offers the ideal combination of country and beach vacation. It is private, charming and of high quality. Although recently built, it is reminiscent of an old manor house, full of character and space. The whole house has terracotta tiled floors, wooden ceilings with traditional Andalusian furnishings and decoration. Built on a single floor on 140 m² offering 3 bedrooms with two baths, Terra-cotta tile floors, a large, well-equipped kitchen, fireplace with a large sitting area, Sky-TV and a dining table for six people. All the rooms have windows out to the lovely countryside, so a light and harmonious ambience prevails. There is a patio with a barbecue, from which a few steps lead us down to the large 9x4 m Roman styled swimming pool and the ample terrace.

Driving along the Costa del Sol overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, about 30 minutes away from Malaga Airport you will enter La Axarquia, a rural region still unspoilt by tourism. Green countryside with white-washed villages, tranquillity and a different way of life under the year-round sunshine of Andalucia are waiting for you. Going up from Torre del Mar into the mountains you will reach Lake Viñuela, a man-made reservoir surrounded by mountains, not only providing the area with water but also forming a spectacular and harmonic part of attraction of this unique and scenic landscape. Heading up towards an enormous U-shaped gap in the mountains you will reach the National Park Sierra Tejeda and the white-washed village of Alcaucín, nestled into this stunning countryside with breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains, the valley and Lake Viñuela. Alcaucín offers simple shopping, bars, restaurants, bank and doctors. Torre del Mar with beaches and all facilities is 20 min away.

Information worth mentioning: Being the owners of Casa Carmen we personally take care of the maintenance. You will find everything well looked after and clean. That applies particularly to the bathrooms, the kitchen and the pool. Unpleasant surprises are virtually impossible!

Distances and sightseeing: It will take you 5 minutes to Alcaucín village with restaurants and bars, shops for your day-to-day needs, pharmacy, medical centre, bank with cash machine. 25 minutes to the sea and Torre del Mar with large shopping centre, many restaurants and the longest beach promenade in the Costa del Sol and golfing. in 30 minutes you reach Nerja with its beautiful town centre and famous caves. 45 minutes to Málaga and the airport. Within 80 minutes you reach Marbella, Ronda and Granada (Alhambra Palace, Sierra Nevada) and within 2,5 hours Gibraltar, Sevilla and Córdoba. Golf: The 18-Hole / Par 71-Course “Baviera Golf” in Torrox is 30 min. away. According to club information 'Baviera Golf is an even course characterized by its wide greens with many movements and the great variety of obstacles which offer a big range of strokes and an ideal design for all types of handicap.'

The Axarquia: The Axarquia has a pleasantly mild climate with more than 320 days of sunshine in the year, low air humidity, predominantly star studded clear nights and without extremely hot temperatures. Delightful rolling landscapes between mountains and sea, lively coastal towns and tranquil white-washed villages with their lively fiestas, the fresh and healthy Andalusian Mediterranean cuisine, almost the whole year round sunshine - the Axarquia has a lot to offer for a beautiful holiday.

... in Casa Carmen stimmt einfach alles! Angefangen von der wundervollen Umgebung, die sich mit einen Rundumblick auf Berge, Täler, Olivenhaine und unendlichem Himmel erschliesst, wird man von Grillengezirpse und anderen urtümlichen Tierrufen zum Seele baumeln lassen eingeladen. Hier ist wirklich alles perfekt. Kein Fluglärm, keine Autos, nichts und niemand stört einen hier beim Erholen. Wir haben uns mit unseren Freunden und unseren zwei Kindern (4 und 8 Jahre alt) paradiesisch vergnügt uns super erholt. Im grossen Pool konnte man unter der strahlenden Sonne viele lustige Wasserballschlachten machen, um sich dann unter dem Strohdach der Terrasse zum Tafeln zu begeben. Das Haus, welches urgemütlich und mit vielen alten Holzmöbeln eingerichtet ist, hat uns blitzsauber erwartet und wir fühlten uns gleich wie zu Hause (eine riesige Couch zum Lümmeln und ein offener Kamin für kühlere Tage). In der grossen Wohnküche hat man alles was man braucht. Sogar ein Bügeleisen stand für knittrige Shorts zur Verfügung und eine Kühlbox für unsere Ausflüge. In wenigen Minuten hatte man in mehreren Richtungen eine Vielzahl von schönen Zielen (wir empfehlen besonders das Bergdorf Comares) und zu verschiedenen Stränden war es mit dem Auto auch nicht zu weit.
Wir sagen danke für zwei wundervolle Wochen und würden jederzeit wieder in dieses Paradies kommen.
Übrigens die Betreuung und Abwicklung durch unseren lieb gewonnen Freund Nico war perfekt. Sofort für Hilfe zur Stelle und mit vielen interessanten Insidertipps versorgte er uns von Anfang an super lieb.

Im Casa Carmen stimmt einfach alles! Blitzsauber, wunderbare Lage, sehr nette Vermieter. Idealer Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge.
Nico gab uns Andalusienanfängern gute Tipps und Hinweise. Wir können Casa Carmen uneingeschränkt empfehlen, insbesondere wenn man Ruhe und Erholung sucht.

Also, die Casa Carmen übertraf erheblich unsere Erwartungen. Lage, Größe und Ausstattung bis auf Kleinigkeiten, besser als gedacht. Wenn man im Internet bucht, weiß man ja immer nicht so recht, welche Katze im Sack man kauft. Hier wohl eine von der besseren Sorte. Sauber, gepflegt und gut durch die Vermieter betreut.Die Angaben im Online-Inserat waren wirklich korrekt
Casa Carmen liegt in einem Olivenhain und steht, zwar in Sichtweite zum nächsten Haus, aber doch ziemlich allein dort. 5min zum Ort stimmt ungefähr, aber nur, wenn man sie mit dem Auto fährt. Zu Fuß sind das 1,5 km über Berg und Tal mit 15% Steigung. Nichts für schnaufende Senioren! Aber wir sind doch schließlich zur Erholung hier! Oder?
Der Ausblick ist herrlich, über das weite, halbrunde Tal mit der grandiosen Berglandschaft und einem wunderschönen Licht. Wir fühlten uns sofort wohl und würden es jederzeit weiter empfehlen. Als Standort für Besuche der zahlreichen andalusischen Kleinode bestens geeignet. Auto ist wirklich notwendig!
Die drei Wochen in diesem schönen Ambiente haben wir wirklich genossen.

Hola Nico, es war mal wieder super schön bei euch. Romantisches Ambiente, Abenteuerspielplatz für die Kiddis und ein tolles Haus. Wir sind immer wieder gerne in Andalusien und vorallen Dingen bei so super netten Vermietern.

Tolles Ambiente in malerischer Umgebung und sehr sauber (Küste in bequemer Auto-Reichweite). Attraktiver Preis (und Vermieter). Sehr zu empfehlen.
