Nature and the sea : In the early hours of the morning, deer can often be spotted in the nearby fields. The area is populated by many different varieties of birds amongst which is the colourful bee-eater and several different birds of prey. Trekking and mountain bike trails of varying levels of difficulty leave directly from the house allowing the practice of sports without having to use the car. The seaside is only 9 kilometres away at Marina di Cecina, where the pine woods protect the land behind the beach from the tides and high winds in the winter, making it an ideal place for jogging or cycling. At 15 kilometres distance is Marina di Bibbona (where Belora guests have free access to the seaside through the campsite 'Il Giardino delle Esperidi' with parking and bathroom facilities) and the nature park 'Gineprino' a strip of coast land covered with juniper bushes, which is open to the public (5 minute walk from the car parking) with an ample beach where the indigenous plants are recorded and protected.

Sightseeing: The town of Cecina originated with the land reclaiming program of the 1930's became a centre of agriculture, business and industry of today. Worthy of visiting is the Museo Civico della villa 'La Cinquantina” and the archaeological digs in the area of San Vincenzino of a roman villa and its grand cistern. The town offers various types of entertainment and recreation such as the water theme park, cinema, theatre, shopping the colourful Tuesday market and typical Tuscan restaurants. The house is immersed in the area of the 'strada del vino' or wine road that winds its way through local hamlets, hillsides of green woodland and brown shrubbery, cultivated fields, olive groves and vineyards. Belora is an ideal place for day trips to the cities of art Florence, Pisa and Lucca. It's also possible to take a trip to the Island of Elba thanks to the nearby highway to Piombino.

Further information: Even though the house is only 5 kilometres from the seaside, the swimming pool offers the possibility of total relaxation for those, who love tranquillity. Other services offered are parking, a communal coin operated washing machine, and tourist and event information.
