Brücken in the district of Kusel is part of the 'West-Palatine', nearby to the Saar-county, only a 30-min ride by car to the border of France and 100 km to Luxembourg. Located in the wunderful landscape of the 'Westpalatine highlands' it`s an ideal starting point for walks (' Walkable Historybook', 80km) or cycle-tours on special cycle roads like the 'Glan-Blies-way', which leads you to France.Local recreation can be found at the Ohmbach-Lake with boat rental and waterplayground, public baths at Miesau and Waldmohr, swimming park at Kusel and Kaiserslautern( K-Town). Drive a handcar at former railwaytracks beside the romantic river Glan for 40 kms!Visit the Diamond Cutter Museum with the world`s(!) smallest Diamond- made by a man from Brücken. Visit the jewish museum in Steinbach, go back in history at the roman museum at Homburg,and have a look into the 'Schlossberg-Cave'. Airports Zweibrücken and Saarbrücken are into a 35-km-area. Pick-up from there can be arranged. Stuttgart and Frankfurt airport can be reached by train within 2 hours. To Frankfurt- Hahn there`s a bus connection several times a day. Homburg/Saar Main station, located at the High-speed ICE-route Frankfurt-Paris, is only 17 km away. Take the Eurostar from London, change from Paris North to Paris Est and take the ICE to Frankfurt, and in only 7 hours you`ll be here!! It`s an honour to us, to pick you up at the station- talk to us!! Going by car via Dover/Dunquerque/Calais take the route Bruxelles- Luxembourg - Trier, and from Trier take the A 62 to Pirmasens till the exit Kusel, and drive 9 km to Brücken. From Calais to Brücken it`s only 465 km. If you drive the A6 Frankfurt-Mannheim-Saarbrücken (-Paris), you can take the exits Bruchmühlbach- Miesau or Waldmohr, which both are only 10 km away.

Erholsamer Familienurlaub in der Pfalz

Wir waren im September 2009 für 2 Wochen in Brücken in der Pfalz und haben einen schönen Urlaub dort verbracht. Die Ferienwohnung liegt sehr schön und ruhig direkt neben einer Kirche (s.Foto). Unten sind Bad und Küche/Wohnzimmer untergebracht. Die Ausstattung ist sehr gut (zB TV/DVD). Oben sind die ruhigen Schlafzimmer.
Besonders erwähnenswert ist der große Gartenbereich mit Schaukel - also insbesondere für (Klein)kinder sehr gut geeignet. Auch die Vermieter sind extraklasse, da sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.
In Brücken selbst gibt's alles lebensnotwendige, aber nicht viel zu sehen. Insgesamt ist die Gegend sehr ruhig - d.h. auch dass man mitunter ein Restaurant suchen muss... Auf jeden Fall ist ein Auto hier Pflicht.
Wer eine paar ruhige Tage in der Natur verbringen will und mit Kind(ern) reist, ist hier genau richtig.

Gute Zeit

Wir waren for eine Woche in dieser Wohnung und wir haben ein gute Zeit gehat. Das Wetter war sehr schön und das Haus hätte alles was man braucht.

Die Vermieter war sehr freundlich. Vielleicht kommen wir nog ein Mal nach Brücken.

Wir haben hier einen sehr schönen Urlaub verbracht.
Das Haus liegt schön ruhig aber doch nah am Ortskern. Der sehr weitläufige Garten ist sehr gut für Kinder zum spielen geeignet.
Das Haus ist sehr sauber und es ist alles vorhanden, was man so tagtäglich benötigt.
In der Umgebung gibt es zahlreiche Ausflugsmöglichkeiten.
Wir kommen bestimmt nochmal.

Auch ich kann mich den vorhergehenden Bewertungen nur anschließen! Die Ferienwohnung ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Es fehlt wirklich an nichts. Uns haben besonders die ruhige und doch zentrale Lage und vor allem die netten und kontaktfreudigen Bewohner von Brücken und Umgebung gefallen. Wir werden die Ferienwohnung bestimmt wieder buchen und auch unseren Freunden und Bekannten weiterempfehlen. Ein besonderes Lob und Dankeschön nochmals an die betreuende Küsterfamilie.

Traumhaft ruhiges Ferienhaus

Dieses Ferienhaus ist einmalig, es ist sehr schön eingerichtet mit Liebe zum Detail. Alles was man brauch (und noch viel mehr) ist im Haus vorhanden. Die Lage mit dem wunderschönen und riesigen Grundstück ist nur toll, dass ist Erholung pur.
Im Umkreis von max. 30 - 50 km gibt es so viel zu sehen und zu wandern, ganz wie man es möchte.
Die Küsterfamilie die das Haus betreut ist sehr nett und gibt auch gerne noch Ausflugtips.
In Brücken sind alle Einkaufsmöglichkeiten vorhanden, zu Fuß in nur wenigen Minuten zu erreichen.
Hier waren wir sicher nicht zum letzten Mal!!!!
