Many pubs and restaurants are within easy reach as well as the markets which sell antiques, second-hand clothes and lots more. There is a river bus which travels along the Thames from Masthouse Pier to the Tower of London and Westminster Places or O2 dome. Other historical sites include, the Jack the Ripper exhibition at Canary Wharf. The London Marathon starts in Greenwich. The Tour de France came through Greenwich in 2007 and the equestrian events are scheduled to be hosted here for 2012 Olympics . The summer Jazz festival in Greenwich is also great fun. I recommend Oliver's Jazz bar in Nevada Street and The Elephant Royale restaurant & cocktail bar . Designer boutique shopping and many other restaurants are available in nearby Canary Wharf which is a pleasant walk away. Excel Exhibition Centre is less than 10 minutes away by car or train.
