This brand new apartment is in the town of Alghero but only 10 mins walk from the port and the beaches of Alghero Lido. It is in a self-contained secure block with private parking and shops and restaurants and fruit and vegetable and fish and meat markets are very close. There are two rooms, a large bedroom with large double bed and en-suite bathroom. The bathroom has an enclosed shower and washing machine. The bedroom has a balcony facing east. The living room is also large and has a kitchen and dining area as well as a sitting area with double sofabed and TV. The sitting room opens out to a large balcony suitable for eating and drinking with a table and chairs. The apartment is on the second floor with lift.

Alghero is on the north-west coast of Sardinia and is called the Coral Riviera. It has beautiful beaches and a rugged coast and is 10 mins from Alghero airport. Alghero is a superb holiday centre with good sandy beaches on either side of the town. To the north-west is Alghero bay, with past it the glorious Porto Conte bay. The picturesque old town of Alghero has an abundant choice of restaurants and good shopping too. The most elegant old streets surround the cathedral, at the centre of the town. There is a boat trip to the enchanting caves of Nettuno near Capo Caccia. To the North-West of Alghero, towards Capo Caccia, there is plenty of opportunity for walking and mountain-biking. There is a nature reserve at Capo Caccia where you can wander and see wildlife, animals and birds, and cross to the other side of the coast and see the rugged cliffs and beautiful blue sea. Walking tours and mountain-biking tours can be arranged, as well as scuba diving and snorkelling.

the apartment lived up to it's description and is in a great location, being very easy to get to the old town, marina, beach and shops etc.
Alghero is a lovely place with lots of options and we would recommend it and the apartment to anyone

Great apartment, great location. Only problem is the construction work next door which starts at 7.30am. Not a problem for us as we were usually up and about by then, but could be if you are a late riser.
Owner's Response: It is a pity that this client had problems with the noise. The work on the block next door is almost finished and should finish in June and return to be a peaceful abode again! Sorry but there is no recession in Alghero!

The apartment was just as it said in the ad. 10mins walk to beach and the old town, 2mins to a big supermarket. The balcolny would be nice to sit out on but for the building work which is being carried out right against the apartment blocks wall, looks like another apartment block is being constructed. This started at 7.30 to 8.00am and went on till 4.30ish so we didnt need an alarm clock. The weather was pretty good during our stay so we were out most of the day, just as well.
We would highly recommend the Sa Mandra agritourist farmhouse restaurant. This is just past the airport and has a set menu of all local Sardinian dishes and for 35euros pp inc. wine and is a bargain with lovely food and a great setting.
Places to see, Le Pellosa beach at Stintino, a beach straight out of the bounty advert, and Argentiera, like a ghost town out of a western, interesting?.

Lovely well equipped apartment.

Description of property very accurate, it was just as pictures show. Apartment was very clean and tidy , it looked brand new so was all in good state of repair. All the kitchen equipment was new and had all you needed to make a good size meal. The balcony was lovely to sit out on in the evening and it was in a quiet residential street. Easy walk to the beach, old town and local shops, no need for car hire. Ideal apartment and town to spend a relaxing week. We can recommend hiring bikes and cycling along the coast, most enjoyable!

Die Wohnung war wie auf den Fotos angegeben sehr schön;sollte man auch von einer neuen Wohnung erwarten.Der Vermieter war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.Alles war sehr gut zu Fuß zu erreichen.Zur wunderschönen Altstadt mit zahlreichen Geschäften,Cafes,Restaurants u.Hafen ca. 10 Minuten;Supermarkt ca. 5 Min.Zum Stadtstrand sind die angegebenen 500 m etwas schmeichelhaft.Es sind ca.gute 1500 m.!Die Preise im Restaurant sind etwa wie in Deutschland,dagegen die Lebensmittel ca.10-15 % höher.Um die Insel ein wenig zu erkunden empfiehlt es sich schon in D.einen Mietwagen zu buchen.Auch wenn man einen Abstecher nach Korsika unternehmen möchte, sollte man die Fähre schon in D.buchen.
Resume:Sardinien ist ein sehr schönes Urlaubsziel und es war ein sehr schöner Urlaub. Die Baustelle sollte man aber fairerweise bei der Buchung angeben und einen Preisnachlass gewähren.
