Our May 2009 Holiday in Menorca

The property description is entirely accurated and on arrival was clean and well maintained. The villa was cleaned and the linen and towels were replaced weekly (an adequate supply of additional towels and linen was available in the villa, should we have needed them)
The villa is excellently located in a quiet residentially area, about a 30 minute drive from the airport, and a small but well stocked supermarket is only a 4/5 minute walk away. The main supermarkets, bars and entertainments are located a comfortable 20/30 minute walk from the villa. We particularly enjoyed the "only British bar", which gave much relief when our struggles with Spanish became just too much !
We hired a car from the airport for the duration of our stay, which made for easy transfers from and to the airport, convenience for "heavier" shopping and to be able to independently explore the island
While at the villa we spent most of our time on the terrace, which overlooks the shared garden and pools, and has a spectacular view of miles of sea off the South Coast beach. It was sunny almost throughout our stay and we enjoyed both relaxation and meals on the terrace, taking refuge and shade under the extending canopy when it got too hot !
(On the minus side we did note some cracks in the floor tiles, a couple of which had sharp edges which could be hazardous to unshod feet .... we have reported this to the owner and understand that they have arranged for them to be replaced soon)
Internally the facilities are quite adaequate, although in our opinion the furniture and "entertainments" (a small music centre offering radio and a CD player) were a little dated. There are 2 double bedrooms and a twin bedded room. Wardrobe space is somewhat limited and at the time of our visit, the large "terrace" double bedroom had only a chest of drawers although in fairness we did not find this too inconvenient and simply left most of our "crushable" clothing in the suitcases
The kitchen is fully fitted with the usual appliances, including a 4 plate cooker with oven, a large fridge with separate freezer compartment, a microwave, toaster and kettle and even a washing machine, although we never actually used it !
Generally the villa, its facilities and particularly its location and views lived up to the owners description and, for us, was entirely satisfactory. We have already recommended it to several of our friends, since returning home
