Las Maravillas is a modern apartment, situated in the quiet Spanish quarter of La Herradura, a short drive or only 10 min walk to the beach, where there is a good selection of restaurants, Spanish tapas bars, supermarkets, bakery, banks, newsagents, medical services and a fresh food market each morning. Our 2 storey apartment, sleeping 6 - 8 people comfortably, is equipped to a high standard, comprising of a spacious kitchen with washing machine, fridge/freezer, microwave etc, a large lounge/diner and two bathrooms both with bath and shower over. There are 3 bedrooms, one twin and two doubles with the second bedroom opening out onto a balcony. The downstairs BBQ/terrace area has table and chairs, ideal for dining outdoors.

La Herradura, situated on the Costa Tropical and named for its magnificent horseshoe bay and mile long crescent beach, is a quiet, predominately Spanish town with a wide variety of restaurants & bars, most of which still serve local tapas free with each round of drinks. La Herradura lies between the popular resort of Nerja and slightly larger town of Almunecar, which has a fantastic weekly market and shopping area. Nerja, most famous for its historic caves and panoramic views, also hosts numerous golf courses, whilst Almunecar, only 5 kms away, offers more shops and amenities, including a waterpark and castle. Nearby, is a moderate-sized port, Marina del Este, which is a popular venue all year round, with a secluded beach and restaurants, specializing in locally caught fish. The Alhambra in Granada and the Sierra Nevada mountains (skiing, mountain biking and walking) are all within 90 minutes drive.

Wonderful Week in Sunny Spain

We had a great week staying at this apartment, with our 1 year old son. It's a very well equiped apartment with everything you need and was very child friendly. It was very clean and well presented, and very comfortable. The apartment is situated at the top of the town, but is within walking distance of the center of the town and beach front. There are good shops, bars and resturants and it's a great way to experience real spanish life and mix with the local people, who are very friendly. There's also lots of other things to do nearby, so if you want to venture further out from the town.

We would recomend this apartment and town to anyone, who wants a great holiday, great weather and a great spanish experience!

We have just returned from holiday in the apartment, it is very spacious and well equipt, a home from home. There is lots of outside space to relax on an evening with a few drinks enjoying a BBQ. The villiage is typically Spanish with lots of bars & restuarant to explore. The locals are very friendly and every time we have been, there has always been a Fiesta taking place(as we know the Spanish love to party) The locals love you to join in with them and make you extremely welcome

Holiday!!!

I stayed here in March last year. It is set in a spanish village, which means that not a lot of people speak English but it makes a change to see spanish culture and be able to experince their way of life. The house is clean and spacious and the property is well maintained.The house was also only a short walk away from the main bars,restaurants and beach. I would recommend this property and am thinking of returning again next year.

we have stayed at this appartment last may and again in march 09,they are clean spacious and well maintained. well situated for shops etc and only a short drive from the lovely marina.the appartment itself was quiet,without any surrounding disturbances,all in all we had two good holidays there and am sure to be returning again soon,also the locals are very friendly and welcoming,although not much english spoken which adds to the fun.
