This is one of the most charming and un-spoilt areas in Spain, without the mass tourism of the other 'Costas'. Enjoying the sunniest and warmest climate in the whole of Europe it boasts over 320 days of sunshine a year. The average temperature is 18 centigrade degrees, reaching up to 30 degrees in the summer it. Vera Playa is located on a 5 miles long white sandy beach. There is a good selection of restaurants, bars and shops and the only Water Park in the area and a dazzling array of sporting facilities. You can play a round on a selection of quality golf courses, enjoy endless games of tennis and squash, take a horse ride through the surrounding Andalucían hills or dive into the water-sports capital of Europe. The area is most famous for its beach and sparkling blue water. It has been awarded the prestigious European Blue Flag award. You can walk 10 miles along the shoreline, from Vera Playa to the fishing harbour to Mojacar in the South and Villaricos in the North
