Local area:
Almuñecar (Al-moon-yeh-car) is the main town on the 100km long Costa Tropical, and is still fairly unspoilt. There are numerous exotic fruits grown here – pick a banana as you walk along the road - though one can go skiing only an hour way in the Sierra Nevadas! Throughout the year are numerous colourful and noisy fiestas, with Easter (Semana Santa) being particularly important. On every headland along the Costa Tropical are the watch towers and fortresses that built to give warning of Moorish invasion. Also in Almuñecar there is a water park, ideal for a day out with the children.
We live close by and can tell or show you all the best places to go!
