Casita Encina is a newly built pool house between Felanitx and Porto Colom. It is situated on a secluded 7000 square meter site with grassy areas and a partially wooded area. The new pool (PVC) is surrounded by childproof barriers. The terrace and garden invite you to life in the open air. Here children have a ready-made refuge to play in. There is a great view of the Puig de San Salvador monastery. The living areas are spacious. The furniture is tasteful, modern, bright and child-friendly. In front of the living room there is an old oak tree(Encina) after which the house is named. The young Majorcan owners of the house live in the main building nearby with their small daughter. They take care of the cleaning, pool and garden and will not infringe on your privacy. The driveway from the main road is short and well paved. The entire property is walled, alarmed and has an automatic entry door.

Notes to the rental rates

• Prices shown are basic prices per night for two people. There is a final cleaning charge of 50 Euros for two people. Babies and children under the age of five stay for free. Children and young people under the age of 18 must pay 10 Euros per night, adults pay 20 Euros per night. When making inquiries please quote the number of people and the age of the children. Heating costs for the air conditioning are settled with the owner and are generally 30 Euros per week. A deposit of 100 Euros is required when moving in. This deposit will be returned by the owner on the day of departure after a quick survey of the house by the owner.
  
• Bed linen, hand towels, 2 bathrobes, table clothes, pool and beach towels, two parasols and a cooler are included. Pool and garden are maintained when necessary. There are two extra storage areas for the guests, one for the washing machine and one for the pillows.
  
• Booking procedures: With a reservation, you receive confirmation, directions on how to get to the property and car rental information by email. After receiving these, please transfer 20 % of the rental amount via Western Union at your post office to the owner of the house. The balance is to be paid in cash when you receive the keys. If possible you will be greeted by a German/English speaking person at an agreed spot at your time of arrival, guided to the property and given the house key and a tour of the property. This person is also authorized to receive the rental balance in lieu of the property owner. A receipt will be provided. We wish you to feel secure when booking online.

Beaches in the area

Cala Marsal: This large and easy to access beach is ideal for children and has restaurants and beach bars, sun-loungers, parasols, showers, pedal boats, etc. Parking places are right on the beach. Cala Brafi: a smaller natural beach, reached only by a craggy pathway. Cala Murada: Mostly locals swim here, together with some tourists, predominantly Germans, French and Belgians who are holidaying in hotels. You can park your car right on the beach here too. Es Domingos: a very beautiful sandy beach with deep water and large waves when it is windy of wind. Cala Senau, a fine small beach surrounded by pine forest. Cala Esmeralda, Cala Gran, Cala Egos, Cala Barca, Cala Mondrago, and many more.

Rental car

During booking enquiries you will receive from us a price list of a car rental service with whom we have been working for years. If you book with them you will be met personally by their representative at the meeting point in the airport. This eliminates long waiting times at the car rental services desk. On your departure, simply leave the car in the airport car park. You can pay in cash or by credit card. For cycling enthusiasts: You can rent all types of bicycles in a great shop in Felanitx.

Golf Information:

The exclusive Mariott’s Golf Son Antem I and II resort is 9 miles away. The Vall D'Or golf course, one of the best golf courses in Majorca with it's newly renovated clubhouse and views over the Cala D'Or and the bay of Porto Colom, is located 6 miles away. Regular golf lessons for both beginners and advanced players are offered here in German, English and Spanish. This fine location is worth a visit even for non-golfers.
