Faro airport is served from many UK airports, and flights from the UK take between 2 1/2 and 3 hours. There are several car hire companies that operate out of Faro, as a car is essential to make the most of your stay.

Activities

There are numerous things to do within a short drive. Boat excursions leave from Lagos marina and include trips to see the local pods of dolphins and caves and grottos along the coast.

There are several courses in the vicinity, including the Palmares (4km away), the Penina Golf Club, designed by Henry Cotton, Boavista, Alto Golf, Gramacho, Salgados and Silves.
