This delightful detached barn conversion is situated in a spectacular location 4.5miles from the popular bustling market town of Keswick. This wonderful self-catering holiday home has a bright, airy atmosphere with feature beams and stonework. Enjoy the breathtaking views of Blencathra mountain from the garden which has a seating area and a play frame with slide for the children, and the odd red squirrel. Accommodating upto 10 people (8 adults max) this property is ideal for 2 families, a group of friends (no hen/stagg parties please as quiet residential area) or a spacious property for a romantic break. Having a large living room and an open plan kitchen /dining area both with woodburning stoves. There are 2 bedrooms on the ground floor 1 twin, 1 double. On the first floor is a double plus 2 single day beds. There is also a mezzanine area with 2 single beds ( max head height 1.72m). There are 2 bathrooms, one on each level and the property is centrally heated. Parking for 2/3 cars

With its mountains, lakes, waterfalls, scenic cycle routes and walks to suit every ability this area is a haven for the outdoor enthusiast and also a lovely place to relax and take in the spectacular scenery. Keswick, in the heart of the Lake district, is a traditional market town with a pedestrianised centre, a weekly market , interesting shops, cafes and street theatre during high summer. Enjoy a cruise around Derwentwater, hop on and off the Launch for a walk or a picnic at its various stops. Keswick has lots to offer including a cinema, public parks, mini golf, leisure pool, theatre , the Pencil Museum, and the Cars to the Stars Museum. Close by are the Honister Slate Mine, Trotters World of Animals and Whinlatter Forest with its Go-Ape High Wire Adventure, trails, Osprey Centre and a lovely cafe. Keswick Golf Club is only 1.5 miles away and the lovely village of Threlkeld with its good pubs is just beyond that. A good place to stay for touring the Lake District National Park.

  • LATE BOOKINGS-FLEXIBLE-CONTACT OWNERS

    Payment can be made by cheque or PayPal (small charge)
  • Short breaks are based on 3 nights commencing on Fridays, or 4 nights commencing on Mondays at 75% of weekly rate.
    £100 deposit required on booking. The balance is due 56 days before the holiday commences( at time of booking if less than 56 days), along with a £50 security deposit which will be returned within 1 week of departure if property left in good order.
  • Towels can be hired for £2 pp.Logs for the wood burning stoves, bedlinen, electricity and heating included in the price.
    NB Christmas and New Year 2009 Sunday Changeover.

Golf: Keswick Golf Club is only 1.5 miles and Penrith Golf Club is approx. 12 miles. Both welcome visitors.

Fantastic property in a fantastic location, we stayed to celebrate a family birthday and would definately return another time. Off the beaten track so require a car but still close enough to plenty of things to do. The house was very clean and modern but still had the feeling of a rustic country home and the extra touches of childrens play area, toys were well received.

Very clean, very comfortable home away from home.
Rustic exterior off the beaten path, but modern and
all they say it is. Our family, 4 aduts and a 2.5 year
old are very satisfied. Toys and games for the little
one were a plus. Nice fire on a cool night. Close to scenic
areas and market towns. You need a car.
From our point of view, well recommended.
