A great situation:
Dâr Alâli, or the tall house stands across the square from the Parish Church, overlooking its square. It was recently rebuilt to high standards & imaginatively decorated. The roof terrace is impressive with incredible 360º views, sunbathing and barbecue areas.
There is car access to the door and parking on the square is on first come first served basis. There is also a parking lot nearby as well as on the main square of the village. Parking is free.
Ideal holiday house in the heart of the village:
Because of its situation, Dâr Alâli, is for those who want to experience rural life in Andalucia, namely in La Contraviesa.
Torvizcon is the the largest and most important village in La Contraviesa. It is self-sufficient, traditional and unspoilt . It has a reputable school, a hotel, a pension, a bank, a pharmacy, a couple of supermarkets and a couple of restaurants. It also has a municipal swimming pool and even an excellent furniture shop.
La Contraviesa (Alpujarra):
La Contraviesa is well known for its elaboration of wine,'Vino de la Tierra' or 'Vino Costa', and its almond groves. People from all over Spain come to visit these hills around January/February when the almond trees are in blossoms. Wine tasting is another pursuit.
This region is dotted with beautiful, some sleepy, villages such as Gualchos, Lujar, Polopos, Sorvilan, Albondon, Rubite, Albunol, Almegijar, Notaez, Cadiar, Berchules etc. Until recently this area was undiscovered and so has remained unspoilt by tourism.
Many sporting activities are at hand: paragliding, horseback riding, rambling, trekking, climbing, mountain biking etc. Classes of art, photography, dancing, music, yoga and languages are available within a short radius.
Other Activities:
Wine Tasting, Spanish Language , Dance and Art classes
