Still part of the estate of a nearby 20-bedroom, 600-year-old Villa this 2-bath, 3 bedroom house will pamper you with the best of sophisticated country living. Furnished with 19th century antiques, this comfortable retreat offers cathedral ceilings, wraparound inner balcony, designer kitchen, central heating, cordless phone, high speed internet, fireplace, two patios, fountain, gazebo, barbecue and uninterrupted views of wooded hills. In addition to the gardens directly surrounding the structure, guests can enjoy a 600 meter private jogging trail, and walks trough private woods and olive groves

Location is Everything!. The ancient estate is only 45 minutes south of Florence and about two hours north of Rome and 10 km south of Arezzo. Although completely private and peaceful, La Limonaia is in a small village - Vitiano - that is less than a kilometre from the main road connecting Arezzo (north) with Cortona and Perugia to the south. About three km south is the lovely ancient town of Castiglion Fiorentino with modern and easily accessible supermarkets, a commuter rail station, banks, stores, post office and open market on Fridays. La Limonaia offers a wealth of opportunities and a perfect setting to explore nearby Cortona ('Under the Tuscan Sun'), Arezzo with its famous antique fair every first weekend of the month, Monte San Savino, Lucignano, Siena, Montepulciano, Pienza, Perugia, Assisi, Sansepolcro, Cittá di Castello, Florence and so many more, not to mention terrific restaurants and easy access to innumerable historical treasures!

Notes: La Limonaia offers an elegantly furnished 50 m² living room with cathedral ceilings, wood-burning fireplace, and a view of private gardens through huge double-glass doors. The room is equipped with satellite TV, stereo with CD player, and phone. Down a corridor from the living room is the master bedroom with magnificent four poster double bed and huge, antique wardrobe. The bedroom, which has a beautiful beamed ceiling, looks out on a garden and has its own entrance area. A second bedroom has two 19th century beds and a huge arch. Upstairs, where four gothic windows look out over gardens and woods, is an intimate guest room with single bed, an antique closet and desk. There is a lovely bathroom with shower and its own window ads convenience to this area, which connects with a wrap-around inner balcony. Just off the living room is a fully-appointed modern kitchen with granite counter top and all a family would expect - not to mention a beautiful view of cypress trees and gardens.

There is an Olympian-size swimming pool, the nightlife at Castiglion Fiorentino and outstanding antique shops at famous Cortona. Antique fair on first weekend of each month in Arezzo and splendid restaurants nearby.

Service: Cook and service abailable - La Signora Mirella will greet you, show you around, and give you your keys. She is a professional cook!
