Situated in a quiet part of the market town of Civray, the property has been completely renovated, including oil fired central heating. The property consists of a fully fitted kitchen and dining area leading onto a comfortable sitting room. Access to the first floor is from the sitting room via a wooden staircase leading on to two double bedrooms each with en-suite facilities. The house is in an ideal location for those people wishing to park the car and walk into town and enjoy the twice weekly market, local bars, restaurants and cafes. There are many beautiful walks alongside the river Charente, which runs through the town. There is a large public open air swimming pool within 5 mins walk of the property and many other activities are available locally eg: cycling, river fishing, canoeing and other water sports. Civray is situated in the heart of Poitou Charentes and is surrounded by other attractive towns a short distance away such as Confolens, Ruffec, and L'Isle Jourdain.

Getting there: Airports - Poitiers 45 mins, Angouleme 45 mins, Limoges 1.25 hrs Train - St Pancras or Ebbsfleet to Poitiers via Paris or Lille, using Eurostar/TGV. Poitiers to Civray 45 mins.

Facilities: There is a large public open air swimming pool within 5 mins walk of the property and many other activities are available locally eg: cycling, river fishing, canoeing and other water sports. Civray is situated in the heart of Poitou Charentes and is surrounded by other attractive towns a short distance away such as Confolens, Ruffec, and L'Isle Jourdain.Golf is available about 1 hour away.

Great time at Civray

We have spend two weeks with our little children in this house and we have enjoyed our stay there. The place is very calm, the rooms are convenient. All you need for cooking and cleaning is at hand. The terrace and the little garden are good places to stay on the deck chairs.

We liked the short way to the middle of Civray, where you can buy all food you need. There are several playgrounds around Civray and a lovely walk alongside the Charente where there are swings etc. for the children to play on. In addition there is a large open air swimming pool within 5 mins walk of the house.
It is a perfect location to make trips to Poitiers, Angouleme or many other interesting towns in Poitou/Vienne.

A great advantage are the two separated bed- and bathrooms, so there can stay two different pairs in this flat. The rooms are in two floors, kitchen and livingroom in ground floor, the two bed- and bathrooms in second floor. So you should not have problems to climb stairs, but then it is perfect for wonderful holidays!
