Three bedroom house Located in the middle of a national heritage village with 12th century abbey and affording views over surrounding vinyards in the Corbieres wine region. Our house is within walking distance of several restaurants and markets and is accessible to some of the best cycling and walking in the Aude region. Beautifully refurbished three hundred year old house with three bedrooms, separate library / study, walled garden, fully equipped eat in kitchen and high speed internet access. Lagrasse is a thirty minute drive to Narbonne, nearby beaches and the historic town of Carcassone, an hour from the Spanish border and ninety minutes from Toulouse, the nearest international airport. Ryanair flies into Carcassone and Perpignan, both 45 minutes away by car. We are located on the Route des Cathares, within a half hour drive to chateaux, medieval abbeys, Cathare castle ruins and vineyards. We are within half an hour drive from the picturesque Canal du Midi.

The historic village of Lagrasse lies in the valley between the foothills of the Pyrennes and the foothills of the Cevennes. Half an hour by car from the Canal du Midi, the tree lined water way that stretches from the Garonne to the Mediterranean. The area is full of historic monuments from medieval abbeys such as Frontfroide to the great chateaux such as Peyrepertuse and Queribus lying along the route des Cathares and the world heritage city of Carcassone. Nearby towns include Narbonne, Limoux, wine villages of the Minerve, Collioure and Perpignan. Nearby beaches include plage de Narbonne, Argeles, Cap d'agde, Sete and various secluded beaches on the way to Spain. The Spanish border is a one hour drive.

Before you leave, our caretaker will do a quick walk through of the house with you and so long as there is no damage, they will immediately reimburse you the 100 Euros.

Notes: It is an old house with a spiral staircase; fine for children but not toddlers. The house is on three levels. Ground level includes large eat in kitchen, living room and walled in garden. Second floor includes master bedroom, library / study and main bathroom. Top floor has two additional bedrooms, one with en suite shower room. At certain times of year pending water level, swimming is possible along the village river.
