A vast conspiracy to make you happy… Straddling a ridge in an unspoiled landscape, overlooking the beaches basking in the sun, tucked away at the end of a long access road, MONTE SERRA offers peace and quiet. Children are SAFE as there is no traffic except for yourself, the neighbour and the shepherd with his flock. Moreover a gated wall seals off the pool area. Thirty acres of centuries old trees ensure privacy to 4 self-contained accommodations. As the place is huge guests seldom bump into each other but if they do, they probably meet a like-minded soul. The grounds hide many peaceful corners for some quiet reading or that chat awaiting a serene moment. Gardens and terraces with gorgeous ocean views invite to high tea, sun downers or a festive dinner. Take a refreshing dive, seek the solace of a pergola’s shade, stroll through the orchards and pick a grapefruit for breakfast or, at night, enjoy the starry sky and scent of ”dama da noite”, a flower that awakens when the sun has set

The oldest part of Monte Serra, rebuilt once again some 250 years ago.... The worn stone troughs, the floor planking, the wooden beams keeping up the roof and the oval window placed way up in the wall, all testify of the past when this was the shelter for sheep and mules . Today, almost all year round the Algarve sun beckons to enjoy breakfast or an 'al fresco' lunch on the East facing very private terrace with its lovely view of the hills and the ocean. On the ground floor, cooking, dining and dolce farniente areas are part of a single huge open space. Children have a small stage for their cabaret performances and behind the staircase a secret passage to their private den. On the mezzanine the parents have their own suite and, come spring, they will wake up looking at a huge oleander whose flowers are set afire by the morning sun. You are just 7 km north of Fuzeta and from this fishermen village a launch will take you across the lagoon to the lovely Armona island for a swim or a long walk on its endless beach. At 2 km, Angela's small yet well stocked mini-market has fresh bread in the morning and most of the daily needs on the shelves. Ask her to arrange a home made ice cream cake or a free range cockerel for the pot.     RATES INCLUDE water, electricity and gas; cleaning after departure; change of bed linen once a week; change of towels twice a week; heating during the colder periods in winter and firewood for stoves and fireplaces available from the stockpile; baby cots and high chairs; use of swimming pool and access to grounds and citrus groves.
    Not included are beach towels, laundry, maid service, table dh?te, additional beds, babysitting, bikes, etc. which can eventually be provided by arrangement.
    Some applicable extra charges: A/C 35/week; extra bed: 70-105/week, washing machine: 3/turn, bikes 25/week.
  • ARRIVAL and DEPARURE.
    The accommodation will be available from 16:00 hrs on the day of arrival till 10:00 hrs on the day of departure. A half day up to a full day rent may be charged if the accommodation is to be made available before 16:00/12:00 hrs on the day of arrival or after 10:00/14:00 hrs on the day of departure, provided such arrangements are possible.
  • BOOKINGS, payments and cancellations by Client
    A non refundable down payment of 25% of the rent will be required at the time of booking as a confirmation of the same and of acceptance of the General Terms & Conditions with the remaining 75% being payable not later than 12 weeks before arrival date. Failure to pay timely the full balance will be considered a cancellation by Client. Following reimbursement schedule will apply in case of cancellation:
    - 83 to 56 days before arrival date: 50%
    - 55 to 28 days before arrival date: 25%
    - less than 28 days before arrival date: 10% of the total rent.
    Guests may be requested to pay a security deposit.

A very nice place a few km from the sea, in the middle of the monuntains. Excelent views, quiet and peaceful for us, you can listen anything but birds singing and the silent of the real world, wonderful. At night you can see millions of shining stars so near, it seems you can touch it...The perfect place to go for a different holidays.

Gardens, pool, acres of centuries old trees, everything marvellous. It where very clean and well-maintained. The White Stables also very nice.

Another Quinta Monte Serra best thing´s has been the ownwer, very kind, friendly, always ready to help you.

We felt it like at home, a place to go and stay...

Quinta Monte Serra es un afortunado sitio para disfrutar, de sus vistas, de su silencio, de su tranquilidad, de su amable gente.La propiedad, tanto exterior como interiormente está muy cuidada, todo en perfecta armonía con su entorno natural. Hay un estupendo cenador que invita sentarse al atardecer y disfrutar de la estupenda vista al mar.

Ideal para los amantes de los paseos matutinos, un entorno para desconectar.
