Floor to ceiling windows/doors leading out to the decking and garden area with breathtaking mountain views. Fully equipped kitchen. Luxury house bathroom. Our spectacular Austrian apartment is located in the chocolate-box village of Rauris, in the heart of the Hohe Tauern National Park in Salzburgerland. Rauris offers a world of choice for adventure sports enthusiasts and nature lovers alike such as skiing, off-piste skiing, ice/rock climbing, paragliding, rafting, mountain biking, horse riding, swimming, spa, trekking and nearly 50km of well kept piste for cross country skiers. The village sits at an altitude of 950m and from here a series of gondolas takes you up to the summit at 2175m. The English speaking ski schools in Rauris are some of the best in Europe and with plenty of wide, uncrowded pistes, the resort is perfect for families, beginners and intermediates. Cross-country skiers and hikers are equally well catered for, with 45km of groomed, cross-country piste and 48km of cleared winter hiking trails. For those wanting to venture further afield, some of the largest ski areas in Austria are within a 20-40 minute drive, including the resorts of Bad Gastein, Zell am See, Kaprun and Ski Amade. Rauris offers plenty to do when the snow melts. 295km of hiking paths cut across the mountains and through the Rauriser Urwald, a primal forest dotted with 80 secluded lakes. Cycle trails give access to the Pinzgau Mountain Biking Network, cycle hire is available locally. Why not try your hand a gold panning or join an exciting rafting tour?

Skiing: Great skiing with the gondola only 100m away, great for starters, children and adults and skiers of all standards. Only 30 mins away from Rauris are several other great skiing locations of Zell em see and Kaprun. But to be honest nothing compares to the beautiful skiing and village of Rauris. Safe, friendly and everso pretty. Great restaurants and bars too!
