Stylish Victorian cottage, with a modern interior and charming landscaped garden. Both cottage and garden back onto beautiful Marble Hill House and park, which in turn sweeps down to the River Thames between Richmond and Twickenham. The cottage is located in one of the most prestigious streets in the area, with no through traffic. There is a double aspect sitting room and dining room, with double doors leading out to the paved terrace and garden. Flat screen digital TV, DVD player and wireless broadband. A small, but fully equipped kitchen includes washing machine, dishwasher, fridge freezer, microwave and multi fuel cooker. Gas central heating and constant hot water. Also downstairs, a compact modern fully tiled bathroom with white suite and shower over the bath. Open staircase leads to two bedrooms, the larger bedroom has a standard double divan and the small bedroom two single divans. Lovely landscaped garden and terrace, with containers of palms and bamboo.

The cottage is within a short walking distance of St. Margaret's for local shops, restaurants, pubs, Twickenham film studios and station, with trains to Richmond and all stations to London Waterloo. Bus shop within a few yards of the cottage with numerous buses to Richmond, which has great shops, theatres, cinemas, riverside restaurants and bars, as well as the underground and trains to Central London, Ascot, Windsor and Eton. Buses also go to Twickenham, Heathrow and Hampton Court. Ferry service across the Thames during the summer months to Ham House, Petersham Polo Ground and Richmond Park or walk along the tow-path to both Richmond and Twickenham. Also, nearby are Kew Gardens, Bushey Park, Twickenham Rugby Ground, Syon House and Hampton Court Palace.

    DEPOSITS:
    Booking Deposit of £100 per week required upon booking, the balance payable eight weeks before arrival.
    We also ask for a separate security deposit of £500, payable upon arrival, to be held against any breakages. which is refundable on departure.
    PAYMENT:
    By cash, cheque, debit or credit card.
    Surcharge of £15 for foreign bank transfers.
  • MONTHLY RATE:
    There is also a monthly rate of £2400 per four week period.
    This rate excludes gas and electricity, which are charged at standard suppliers rate.
    DEPOSITS:

PARKING: Parking is available on the public street, but there are restrictions. A controlled residents parking scheme is in force during the hours 10.00am to 16.30pm Mon - Fri in winter and seven days a week in summer. During these hours guests cannot park outside the property. There is parking in the pay and display bays in the Richmond road (1 minutes walk away). Outside of controlled times guests may park in the marked parking bays on the street outside the property. There is also free parking with unlimited stay available approximately 12 minutes walk away. Directions and map can be found in the guest handbook at the cottage.

The cottage was clean and well presented. It is in a quiet street a short walk from the Thames. The bedrooms are a good size and have plenty of storage. The kitchen is small but had all the equipment and white goods we required during our stay. The ground floor bathroom has a good shower which is situated over a nice large bath.The garden is well maintained and is safe for children. The owners at all times were friendly and very helpful. We used the house as a centre for visits to London. It took approximately a hour to get to Leicester Square starting with a short walk to the nearest station at St Margarets. At the end of the road you can get buses to Richmond and Twickenham every 5-10 minutes. There are numerous places of interest virtually on your doorstep. We visited Hampton Court Palace, Kew Gardens and had lovely walks along the Thames to both Twickenham and Richmond. Richmond has many shops including a post office and many restaurants and is about 15 minutes away on the bus. You can also take the underground at Richmond station. The only quibble we had was a lack of a sizeable welcome pack. There were no details regarding local places of interest or local amentities. We would suggest a visitors book so guests can leave reviews of places such as restaurants etc. However the cottage was perfect for us and we had a great relaxing breaki.
