The newly renovated Apartments have 5 spacious self-catering apartments located in a rural setting but only 2 km from Tavira centre. With a maximum capacity of 23, the Apartments are quite exclusive where you can relax privately and/or meet other people. The Apartments have a car park within walled grounds where you can relax by the eco friendly salt pool (12 x 6m) or read a book from our library; take a stroll through the citrus fruit trees or sit under the shade of a palm tree. For little ones, the toddler pool (3 x 3 m) and trampoline will provide hours of fun in a safe and secure environment. You can dine on your private balcony/terrace or barbecue your meal while watching the sun go down. Wireless internet facility is available to contact those at home. The owners live within the grounds and will help with all your enquiries. Tavira offers beautiful architecture, entertainment and a host of fine restaurants. The Villa apartments are an ideal location for a stress-free holiday.

Located on the upper floor, Apartment 5 is newly refurbished, centrally heated and has two air conditioned bedrooms. Each bedroom has two single beds, bedside tables, wall reading lights and chest of drawers, A safe is located in one of the fitted wardrobes One bedroom has a small balcony with chairs. The modern kitchen, dining and lounge areas are open plan. The kitchen has a four ring induction hob, a microwave and a fridge-freezer. Other equipment includes an electric kettle, toaster, juicer and a full range of cooking and eating utensils. The dining area has a table and seating. The lounge has a sofa, sofa bed, satellite TV, and DVD. The lounge leads on to a private balcony, with table and chairs, that over-looks fruit trees. The bathroom has a wash-basin, WC, bidet and a shower above the bath. There is an additional WC and wash basin. This is a non-smoking apartment. The apartment is for four but can accommodate two extra people on the sofa bed -at an extra cost. please enquire.

The Villa is only 2 kilometers from Tavira which is a quaint, historic town midway between Faro airport (30 minutes drive) and the Spanish border. The town is famous for its architecture, 37 odd churches and has a range of restaurants for all budgets. From the town you can either take the ferry or catch a train to TAVIRA ISLAND surrounded by golden and beautiful beaches. Or you can drive to the vast beaches of Manta Rota, Monte Gordo and Altura which are 10 to 20 minute drive. FLEA MARKETS are held at the weekends in the different nearby towns. The RIA FORMOSA RESERVE PARK is an ideal location for Bird watching and walks throughout the year. Another attraction is the proximity of numerous and excellent GOLF Courses. A drive into the countryside in the hills will be rewarded with breath-taking views of the valleys. A boat trip along the river GUADIANA, the border between Portugal and Spain, is a beautiful day out. Horse riding and biking are other popular activities in the area.

Additional information about rental rates

  • Rates are inclusive of IVA. 1. A booking will only be secured once we have received a completed and signed Booking Form from the website with the 30% non-refundable deposit 8 weeks in advance of your arrival date. We will send you the bank details. You will receive a written confirmation once the deposit has been cleared in our bank. 2. The full balance of 70% is payable 6 weeks in advance of the arrival date.
    3. If you book less than 6 weeks prior to your arrival date, the full balance is payable together with the Booking Form.
    4. If you do not pay the full balance 4 weeks prior to your arrival date, we reserve the right to cancel your booking and you may lose your deposit.
    5. You will receive written confirmation of all financial transactions.
  • A security deposit of 200 euros in cash will be required upon arrival to cover for keys, remote controls and for damage costs. This deposit will be returned upon departure subject to a satisfactory inventory of the apartment and upon return of keys etc.
  • The above rates are based on occupany of 4 persons sharing the apartment. Additional persons are charged 10€ per night (children between 3 - 11) and 13€ per night (children 12+ and adults). Please enquire for further information at the time of booking. All other facilities i.e. bed linen, bath towels, water, electricity, heating, twice weekly cleaning, wireless internet access, use of library, board games and small children's toys are included in your booking. Travel Cots and children´s high chairs are available for free.
    Additional costs if used: there is a charge of 50 € for heating the large pool between November and April; there is an extra charge for Air conditioning ; washing machine (5 € per load- includes soap powder); Beach pack for 2 which includes 2 beach towels, cool box, and beach parasol is 10 € per week.

Block Booking of Apartments: The five apartments can also be rented together as a single booking with a maximum of 23 persons (16 on beds and 7 on sofa-beds). The 5 apartments (or fewer) can be rented for Anniversaries, Birthdays or Christmas Celebrations, Special Interest Group gatherings, Weddings etc. The Function Room and 'Cave' (Basement) are also available. See below. Please enquire for further details.

Function Room and the 'Cave': There is a large, 49 m2 Function Room (8.70m x 5.60m) with TV point and wire-free Internet facility. This can be used to hold private parties by guests staying at Villa Patarinho. Companies can also book this room to hold meetings, courses and conferences. The 'Cave' (Basement Room) is 33m2 with a TV. Attached to this area is large food preparation room and a separate male and female WC. This room can also available for guests booking all the 5 apartments. The Function Room and the Cave can be booked together or separately. Please enquire for further details.

Golf: East Algarve: The main Golf courses within a distance of 10-25 minutes from Villa Patarinho in Tavira are: 1. Golf Colina Verde: located to the east of Tavira, in Margota with views of the Ria Formosa. The 9 hole course incorporates 8 par 3's and 1 par-4. 2. Benamor: located approximately 6 kilometers west of Tavira. This course is an 18 hole course and includes a large putting course. 3. Quinta da Ria: located 11 kilometers east of Tavira. It is 18 hole Par 72 course. It is a championship course and has a Golf Academy. 4. Quinta de Cima: about 12 kilometers east of Tavira, a championship style 18 hole par 72 course. 5.. Monte Rei: Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf course is about 13 km from Tavira and set in the picturesque hills in Eastern Algarve. It is a Par-72 championship course. 6. Castro Marim: set about 25 km from Tavira near the Spanish border, it is a new par 71 challenging course. My wife, 3 kids & I stayed in apartment five which was very spacious and beautifully decorated with its own private balcony. Everything was really high standard including the furniture and there was a large range of kitchen cooking utensils and equipment which we appreciated as we did not want to eat out every night. When we arrived (which was quite late in the evening) we were grateful to find a welcome pack in our apartment which consisted of things such as eggs, butter, cheese, water, wine ect. This we thought was very kind and a blessing to us as we then made a meal as our kiddies were whining for their dinner. The apartment was squeaky clean and spick and span and also had wi-fi. The big pool was lovely and while we lay on the sun lounges soaking up the sun the youngest was happily splashing around in the baby pool so we could easily keep an eye on her. The whole complex was safe and secure and enclosed in it’s own grounds and gardens. The owners of the apartments, Andrea and Narinder were very nice people and couldn’t be more helpful. While we were staying there we were free to use the barbecue facilities. Although in a quiet rural setting it was minutes from tavira town centre which is largely unspoilt and has plenty of restaurants and a authentic Portuguese feel to it. With easy access to all of the Algarve we had loads of things to do and places to visit. Our time there was the most relaxing and stress free holiday we have ever had and the kids loved it too. We would defiantly recommend these apartments to anyone and can’t wait to go back next year.
