Excellent Accomodation

Date of Stay: December 2008
We stayed at in this apartment for 7 nights, 15th to 22nd December, 2008.
Two adults and two children aged 8 and 6.
Accomodation was fabulous, we had friends over to visit most days from both UK and Australia (living in UK at the time). All marvelled at the wonderful views.
The fittings throughout were superb. The beds were the most comfortable that we had throughout out 7.5 weeks away from home. There was a TV with a DVD player in every room except the bathroom! Kids had a great time watching a DVD when they were in bed, we don't 'do' televisions in bedrooms at home. A definitely luxury as far as the kids were concerned.
The apartment was massive, so much space!! There was everything you needed plus many extras that you wouldn't dream of (e.g. water purifier).
The location was outstanding. Parking was an issue for us, we needed the car to continue our journey after leaving. The cheapest option was to pre-pay for our parking at London City Airport. We dropped off kids and luggage (and one parent), Hubby drove to airport parking and parked car (cost just under 100 pounds sterling, Much, much cheaper than parking stations nearby), then caught docklands light rail back. Situation reversed when leaving). The drive to the airport was not complicated and was easily navigated by someone who has only once driven in London and that was over near Marble Arch.
The apartment is on the number 15 bus route. In real terms, we just caught the one bus to the theatre to see The Lion king and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat because the theatres were located on this bus route ( a lovely surprise for us). This bus also took you into the shiopping districts of Oxford Street etc. The Tube station is just across the road.
We pay to stay somewhere nice and then live very cheaply, Tesco and Sainsbury both very close, shopping wasn't a drama at all.
I became quite ill with influenza just as we arrived and spent a lot of time indoors whilst Hubby and kids explored, caught buses all over town and travelled back on the Tube. It was a very comfortable place to be so unwell. Even the lounge was comfortable, not like the lumpy lounges, with what feels like rocks as the foundations, that you usually get in holiday houses.
To top it all off, both the owner and caretaker are fabulous.
The whole apartment was designed for the comfort of all and the next time we are back in London, we already know where we are staying.

Owner's Response: We are delighted that guests continue to appreciate the attention to detail we strive for to ensure that guests enjoy their stay. In the credit-crunch guests continue to tell us what top class value our apartment represents, given its prime London location and high standard. Parking in London can be rather expensive and that's why we urge guests to do without a car unless absolutely necessary as our apartment is so close to all modes of public transport. The prioximity of so many local supermarkets means that familes can easily obtain groceries, which helps the holiday budget go much further.
