A ground floor apartment and studio. The apartment consists of two double bedrooms (sleeping up to 6), a kitchen diner & WC/shower room. The studio has its own wc, shower and kitchen and its only 5km from the Atlantic. If you are looking for a holiday in Charente Maritime about 5kms from glorious beaches and separated from them by a pine forest, our apartment could be the answer. It is very spacious occupying a large part of the ground floor of a wonderful old house and sleeps 6 easily with the added advantage of an attached independent studio with space to sleep another 2 or 3 people. The studio has its own shower cubicle, toilet and kitchenette. Both open on to a sunny, private South west facing patio (ideal for the BBQ) and at the back of the house we have two parking places, and a 30 second walk takes you to a delightful shared pool (little used). The walls of the house are two foot thick so keeping it nice and cool in the summer (when the temperature can hover around 30C.

About our apartment.

The apartment and studio are used by us, our family and friends during the year and we rent it out when we are not using it. You should treat it as we do and leave it tidy for whoever follows you.

St Augustin

St. Augustin is a small village whose population rises about four fold during the peak French holiday season (mid July to mid August). Outside this period it is extremely quiet.

The Pool

The pools is shared between the residents of our house and a row of small gites to the back of our house. It is open from early June to the end of August (ask for specific dates, it can vary a little year by year). The pool is mainly used by children during the peak season and little used otherwise, after all we have the Atlantic close by-much better!
