A comfortable air conditioned and centrally heated self-catering ground floor apartment situated on the stunning Polaris World 5* La Torre Golf Resort suitable for both the golfer and family all year. The apartment was completed in May 2007 and has been furnished to a high standard. It enjoys spacious living/dining room with patio doors leading to the terrace and garden, a fully equipped kitchen, two double bedrooms and a spacious contemporary bathroom with bath and shower. The nearest swimming pool is only seconds away, and the club house, town centre and supermarket a few minutes stroll. La Torre, part of the Nicklaus Golf Trail, is a circuit which will boast 9 courses within a radius of 25 km. Four courses are already up and running (La Torre, El Valle, Mar Menor and Hacienda Riquelme). Each course offers different characteristics and levels of play, and a free bus service runs between them. In addition the area has many other championship courses within a short drive.

La Torre Golf Resort on the Costa Calida in Murcia is one of the most beautiful regions of Spain. It is known as the 'warm coast' and enjoys a very pleasant climate all year round with over 320 days of sunshine . The driving is relaxed and easy with the historic city of Murcia and the Roman city of Cartagena only a short drive away. Also, only 10/15 minutes away you have the beautiful beaches of the Mar Menor, separated from the Mediterranean by a strip of sand 22km long creating the shallow, warm lagoon - perfect! There are over 44km of beaches which are far from crowded. Mar Menor is an excellent location for all types of water sports, as well as an ideal place for the kids. The airport of Murcia San Javier is just 15 minutes drive from La Torre with Alicante 45 minutes. San Pedro del Pinatar and Lo Pagan are renown for their salt marshes and man-made 'pans' where salt is harvested, also an excellent location for watching a variety of migratory birds.

The Resort: This Polaris World 5* luxury resort boasts a superb 18 hole golf course, driving range, club house ,5* Intercontinental Hotel, restaurants, bars, ice cream parlour, hair and beauty salon, supermarket (which will deliver), travel agency (offering various excursions), bank, health centre and medical centre. The resort has two 'gated' entrances and 24 hour security. It is set in stunning landscaped gardens with beautiful fountains and water features. There are 12 communal swimming pools (some with jacuzzi areas), two tennis courts and several children play areas. There is also internet access on site. Guests staying on La Torre are also able to use the facilities at other Polaris World resorts and there is a free bus service which runs between them.

We loved everything about La Torre and this well kept, well equipped clean and spacious apartment. We booked fairly last minute which wasn't a problem with the owners and they were most helpful with any questions we had. There were lots of places - beaches and towns - within a 15min drive and a few towns with some lovely restaurants within 5 mins if you didn't want to stay on the complex all the time. The supermarket was quite large and well stocked with everything you would need. The swimming pool nearest the apartment - 30seconds! - was definitely the best one we saw on the whole complex. There was a lovely pool for the children and a larger pool next to it. We had a 2 and 7 year old with us and they loved everything. We didn't play golf but we are golfers and the course looked fantastic - lots of sand and water!! The complex itself was safe and very clean, the apartment was only a 5 min walk away from the bars and restaurants and will definitely be going back and we would recommend it to anyone.

Lovely Apartment - would definitely recommend

We found the apartment very spacious, clean and well equipped. The air conditioning in the living area and the bedroom fans came in very handy.
It was a short walk to the swimming pool where we always found room to put the loungers. The pool itself was great and came in handy for cooling us down.
The supermarket is about a 10 - 15 minute walk away and is well stocked and reasonably priced. The town centre is about the same distance away. In terms of eating out we enjoyed the Bamboo which had a very relaxed feel to it with good, friendly service. We found the service at the Tapas bar very hit and miss. A visit to the ice cream parlour is a must!
La Torre is a beautiful resort and we found it extremely clean. We didn't hire a car and the airport pick-ups arranged by the owner were hassle-free.
This was our first experience of a non-package holiday and thanks to Dianne it was an extremely good one. I think our days of package deals are behind us.
I would definitely recommend La Torre and this apartment to friends and family.

Just returned from La Torre had a great time. Apartment had everything you need for a great holiday, very clean and modern and very close to swimming pool. The resort was exceptionally clean, safe and had very good restaurants and bars on site. Not to far to beach but you do need a car. Would go back again.

Lovely appartment on ground floor with patio and small lawn very close to 2 swimming pools. The apartment was very clean with all the equipment needed. The underground garage kept the car lovely and cool. The site had most things you need restaurants, supermarket, shops etc. We noticed that the security was also very good. There was a lovely seaside town just 15 minutes away by car with really good restaurants. We will definately return.

An excellent apartment - very clean, new furnishings, good size rooms and well stocked kitchen. It has a nice private terrace with grassed area. The polaris world complex is very good - our children loved all the swimming pools (we tried 12 and there are more) - they are all different sizes, shapes and depths. The supermarket on site is very good and their are several restaurants on the site. The weather was sunny and 30 degrees every day. The owner responded very quickly to our emails as we booked late.
