Brancialino is located in the middle of an old historic area. Originally it was a Roman observatory along the “Via Ariminensis” which connected Arezzo –a former Etruscan lucumonia– to Rimini. Ruins of the Roman bridge on the Tiber lay now under the water of the artificial lake one km away. When Caesar descended to take power in Rome (alea iacta est!), he sent Antonio along Via Ariminensis to assure the faithfulness of the Tuscan people, while he descended along Via Flaminia..
