My sister and I had an excellent time at the DECO. We enjoyed taking public transportation since the street car station is just around the corner. Walking around in the Beach neighbourhood and at the beach was very relaxing. We loved taking our breakfast on the porch in the nice garden. The place is very well equiped. We found the house in a very clean state and well-maintained. In the basement even washing detergent was provided. The rooms are spacy enough to feel comfortable.
Bottomline: the DECO is just as advertised on the web.
We would like to thank Sandy and Graham again for the great welcome they made us. Since we arrived very late some food and coffee was provided so we didn´t have to go out overtired and shop for groceries. When ever we had questions the owner tried to answer them. We found a two page information letter with the most important things about the house, contact data of both owners and information on the next grocery stores etc.
We would very much like to recommend DECO to friends and also consider to visit again.
We liked the many hughe parks as well as the Zoo, the Botanical Garden and the Toronto Islands. We found that prices for public transportation are very reasonable.
Niagara Falls as well as St. Jakobs/ Kitchener-Waterloo and suroundings are worth visiting. Walking around the City and visiting the nationality -related neighbourhoods like the Greek village etc. are activities to recommend as well as checking out seasonal events like "Luminati" in June or wat is playing in the many theaters of Toronto.
We found that wine was very expensive even though it was made in Ontario.
Finding the way from the airport to town was not very easy to do because in our opinion we found it quiet confusing getting on the highway after leaving the airport and we took a detour to get to The Beaches.
