Splendid 18th century mansion with typical Sienese architecture. It is situated next to the historical village of Basciano. The house position is ideal because one reaches the Chianti region in a few minutes or can enjoy the culture and convenience of the city of Siena. Siena offers many traditional events and is situated only 6 km away. The mansion is surrounded by a garden with oak-trees, linden-trees, cypresses and a terrace full of many mediterranean plants, where one can relax and have a pleasant stay outside. The swimming-pool is 6m x12 m and is situated on a terrace with pergola. From the terrace there is an excellent view of the hills including, woods and fields. The estate is situated at an altitude of 350 m above sea level. The climate is usually full of sunshine with a light breeze.

This ground floor flat has an entrance with three large glass doors. The main living area has an open fireplace and is divided into a sitting room and a large kitchen. Sofa bed for one person. From this room there is access to the double bedroom which also has a large glass door. There is available a child bed. The bathroom has an enclosed shower and is covered with a travetin stone. In the veranda with pergola there is a dining table with chairs. The house is surrounded by a beautiful garden and swimming pool. There is private parking spaces available.

A cosy barn in the country

The Barn is beautifully furnished with a well equipped kitchen and is kept very clean. It is located in a scenic and isolated place but is not far from Siena and a whole host of places worthy of a visit. The owner was very friendly and very helpful in helping us finding our way around.

All in all a relaxing and memorable week.

A fantastic house near to Siena

This is a charming house set in a quiet location with very kind owners. The house is clean and well equipped. And after a day's sightseeing, the pool is very relaxing.

The location really is great for visiting Siena, the Chianti region and many other towns.
