Beautiful self-catering apartment in traditional Tuscan villa, located on the Florentine hills, straight in the middle of the Chianti wine route. The art centres of Florence, Siena and San Gimignano are 1/2 hour drive, and the splendid position of the villa allows amazing views of the Tuscan countryside, its sweet hills and romantic castles. The seaside is about 1 hour drive and a nice communal pool is at 5-10 minutes. The villa dates back to the 19th century and has maintained its original features (fireplace, wooden ceilings) and furniture. A wonderful private garden (ideal for barbecue) and a delicious panoramic terrace complete the wonderful atmosphere of this environment. We recommend to pay a visit to the wine cellars of the famous local wine producers, open all-year long. Both the house and the close town of Montespertoli offer everything you need for a pleasant stay in Tuscany.

Our ancient villa is located on the Florentine hills, in the astonishing countryside of Montespertoli. The villa dates back to the 19th century and has maintained its original fireplace, wooden ceilings, cotto floors and style furniture. Montespertoli is a major Italian center of wine production and is located straight in the middle of the Chianti wine route. Famous local wine producers (including noble families owning local amazing castles) will open their beautiful cellars to you all year long, for a genuine and quality wine tasting experience. 1/2 drive you will enjoy the most famous and beautiful towns of Tuscany, namely Florence, Siena and San Gimignano. The splendid position of the villa allows superb views of the Tuscan countryside, with its wine yards, olive groves, hills and castles: enjoy a barbecue, a drink and a summer dinner in our garden, and match a superb view and an easy sun tanning on our little terrace.   • Both bedrooms are large, silent and tastefully restored, and have original 19th century family furniture, wooden high ceilings, cotto floors and an amazing view on olive groves, wine yards and corn fields. Bedroom 1 has a large double bed, and an astonishing viw on the castle of Poppiano. Bedroom 2 is a very large room with a double bed sofa and a single bed on a separate flies; the view is on the front garden.

Notes: Wooden ceilings and cotto floors have been recently restored and brought back to their original beauty. Our kitchen is large and comfortable, and has an original fireplace which makes you enjoy the countryside also in winter time, ideal both for cooking and relaxing. Our living room is a silent and comfortable place, and has access and view to the private garden. The charming and peaceful atmosphere of the house is ideal for both romantic and family holidays.

HOW TO GET TO OUR PROPERTY: Our house is very close to both Florence and Pisa, so you may land either at Florence airport or Pisa airport. Some directions to get to our house from the airport of Florence: At the airport, follow the indications to the Highway ('autostrada') A1, direction: Rome ('Roma'). Take the exit 'Scandicci' and take the motorway ('superstrada') FI/PI/LI, direction: Pisa. After about 15/20 km, take the exit 'Ginestra Fiorentina' and follow the indications towards 'Montespertoli' until you arrive at 'Baccaiano' and the road ends in a bifurcation: turn right and, after about 500 meters, turn left towards Certaldo. After 3,8 km turn right into via Lucignano, which is a narrow road (only the restaurant 'La Fonte' is indicated at the turn). After 700 mt on your left you will see the back of some yellow houses: just at the end of the houses, turn left in order to get to the front gardens: stop at the gate with number 6: you are at our house!

POOL, GARDEN, AIRPORT LINKS: POOL The pool is a communal pool, a structure managed by the town council, at 5-10 minutes drive from our house. It is very nice, and has summer facilities for children. There is a website where you can see a picture of the pool: GARDEN: it is the private garden of our house, with a gazebo with table and chairs in the middle of the garden and the small terrace for suntanning. I will send you pictures of the garden as well. BEDROOMS: there are two bedrooms, for an overall 5 sleeps: 1 bedroom has a double bed, and the other bedroom has a double sofa-bed and a single bed on a flies.
