What a magnificent place

My stay at Marmotte in late May was amazing. Though not taking part (this time, but definitely on my next visit) in any snow-based acitivities, the location of the chalet is perfect, right near the ski lift and the town of Argentiere and the ski area of Grands Montets.
The chalet has eveything you could need and is very comfortable - including the bed. Lovely. Also, the jacuzzi and indoor pool are a huge bonus when you need a warm up in the evening.
It was great staying a bit our of town (Chamonix) and being only 8km away along the valley meant it was easy to get around and into town when we needed to.
Jon, our host at Marmotte was wonderful. He was very generous with all local information and time and was able to supply all our requirements.
There are so many activities available through the chalet - Aiguille du Midi (which was fantastic - the most amazing views of the Alps), so many outdoor acitivities including the via ferrata which I didn't do because of bad weather (but again, will do next time!), Jon outlined a great walk for us through the valley and it was just so beautiful. He also showed us some fantastic thermal baths through the other side of Mont Blanc in Italy - absolutely great - you could spend a whole day there.
Speaking of Mont Blanc - I fell in love with that view when staying in Chamonix/Argentiere, magnificent.
Our stay at Marmotte Mountain Chalet was a fantastic experience all round. I will definitely get back there (some day) and would recommend it to anyone.
